During a trip on an improved highway, the front end began to shake violently. The steering wheel was hard to keep ahold of at 50 mph. At this time the truck had 17596 miles on it. When we returned home i called my dodge dealer, landers mclarty to express my concern of the truck performance. Subsequently i brought the truck in for an inspection and resolution of the problem. The report was that the tires were cupped and i needed new tires. I felt that this should be treated as defective equipment and that they should cover the cost. The tires are nexon tires from s. Korea. At 17596 miles they should not fail that soon. I was told by the gm that they have trouble with tires on? This kind of truck and that i got good usage at 1759 miles. Am taking the the vehicle to an independent truck center to have an inspection and remediation f tires if needed. Have been told that 17596 miles is too soon for tires to fail. Dodge ram dealer, landers mclarty refuses to honor my 10 year warranty due to tire problem.
Truck shimmy? S whenever i drive over 50mph. Front tires are damaged from cupping. Maintenance has been done as well as tire alignment and rotation. Dealership keeps saying nothing is wrong with it.
Left rear rim and front right rim are wearing out tires om the inside to where tire is no good but has plenty of life over 75 percent of tire had alignment done on car garage said alignment is not out said its gotta be the rims where there so wide they warp and causing wear on inside
When turning clicking noise was coming from wheel area. Car has only 50,000 miles. When i took car in for oil check mechanic checked it out for me. They ended up replacing the passenger cv axle.
I have been informed by the honda dealership that the factory continental tires placed on by honda, have a tread pattern that at low speeds makes the small noise i am hearing because it is loose from the wheel. That is a major safety concern, and this occurs when the vehicle is moving at a slow rate of speed you can hear a grinding from the wheels that is actually the tire. This problem needs to be addressed especially when honda has known about it.
DURING THE ANNUAL MAINE STATE VEHICLE INSPECTION, THE 2017 Ford Escape SE FAILED DUE TO A SAFETY ISSUE. THE FAILURE WAS IN RELATION TO BAD REAR LATERAL LINKS LEFT AND RIGHT REAR KNUCKLE AND HUB ASSEMBLY BUSHINGS. THE VEHICLE WAS WITHIN THE THREE-YEAR BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY BUT WAS 321 MILES OVER THE 36,000 MILEAGE LIMIT. WHEN AN APPOINTMENT WAS BEING MADE FOR THE $1,900 REPAIR, I WAS ADVISED BY A FORD SERVICE ASSOCIATE THAT THE ASSEMBLIES WERE BACK-ORDERED TO AT LEAST THE END OF AUGUST (45 DAYS). SEEMS THAT MANY OTHERS ARE HAVING THE SAME SAFETY ISSUES WITH THIS PART.
WE HAVE A NEW 2019 Audi Q7 BOUGHT IN DECEMBER 2018 THAT HAS NOW 11900 MILES ON IT. I NOTICED A FEW DAYS AGO THAT THE FRONT TIRES ARE COMPLETELY DAMAGED, FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THE WHOLE TIRES ARE DAMAGED, NOT JUST ONE SPOT ON THE TIRE. THEY LOOK AS IF SOMEONE USED A CUTTER AND CUT THEM UP AND REMOVED BITS OF THE TIRE. IF I HAD NOT LOOKED AT THE TIRES AND SEE THE PROBLEM, I AM AFRAID THE TIRES WOULD HAVE BLOWN UP AT SOME POINT.
We buy this car 2 day? S ago and the lights from the wheels never turn off we left the car to fix the problems. And still continue with the lights on. The vehicle is in the dealer right now with 2 day buys.
I had my tires changed out at less than 16,000 miles!! About 2 weeks ago and 4,000 miles later my tps let me know i was losing tire pressure in my rear passenger side. I monitored it and realized i was losing about 5 psi per week. I have the road hazard warranty so i took it back to my tire guy. After pulling the wheel and tire off, they sprayed some soapy water on it. They found two cracks on the inner lip of the rim. The cracks are about 3 inches in length going from the inner lip heading out. The cracks are about 10 inches apart from each other.
While slowing down or turning, vehicle is making wearied broken popping noise from rear wheels or axle. I have requested the nissan dealer to diagnose the issue, but they were unable to identify this issue since 3 weeks and then they called nissan engineer for help but still they are also unable to identify the issue so nissan engineer created engineering review request for this issue. Till now no update from the dealer or nissan and there is no et for the fix.
3 bent rims on a car that is pleasure driven with only 6,555 miles.
Started feeling a harmonic vibration at about 3000 miles. Replaced right front tire due to foreign object in tread. Asked the dealer to look into the vibration and was told all 4 wheels were bent. Dealer indicated that they had contacted gm and that it was a non warranty item. The vehicle has been driven normally on regular roads without potholes or heaves
When excelling on the highway there is a vibration felt in the steering, suspension and or drive-line starting at 60 mph. The vibration increases with severity to the point of where it feels unsafe to increase above 75 to 80 mph. Generally below 60 mph or costing at 60-70 mph down grade the vibration seem to be regular road sensation.
There are reports on the continental tire web site of customers experiencing blowouts with fairly new procontact tx tires. On july 12, 2020 our new car with 13,794 miles and new procontact tx 215/60r17 96h tires had a catastrophic blowout on the freeway. We did not hit anything, the tires were properly inflated as they were recently inspected, and we were traveling within the speed limit. The tire simply failed. After being towed, we took the car to an expert at les schwab tires who said that he could not explain why a fairly new tire could fail so dramatically and dangerously. Since other customers are reporting similar issues on the continental tire web site, i wanted to inform the nhtsa that there could be a potential problem with the quality of these tires.
Malloy ford in winchester, va just notified me that they recommend that the next time the wheels are removed that all 24 of the lug nuts be replaced for $160. 00. I know from my previous 2009 ford f150 that the lug nuts are made in two pieces and that they corrode and expand and eventually the socket wrench will not fit the nut. Imagine having a flat tire on the highway and not being able to remove the wheel to change the tire. This has been an issue for a least eleven years and i believe longer. I had to replace the lug nuts on my 2009 f150. The tech told me that i should go online and find (non ford) one piece lug nut replacements because ford's design will only corrode again. Why is this still happening?
Front left strut leaking and had to be replaced. Backing plate by rotors had to be adjusted because of rattling noise. Only 37,000 miles and 4. 5 years old.
Both front continental procontact tx tires developed sidewall bubbles and required replacement with under 30,000 miles on them. This occurred from normal driving.
RE: PIRELLI P7 CINTURATO 225/50R 17 98H MY WIFE WAS DRIVING THE 1998 Jaguar XE 20D WITH ABOUT 13,000 ON ODOMETER, ON THE HIGHWAY (I-95) AT NORMAL SPEEDS WHEN SUDDENLY SHE SAW IN AN INSTANT THAT THE DASH INDICATED A PROBLEM WITH THE TIRE AND THE CAR STARTED TO JERK TO THE OTHER LANE AND SHE COULD BARELY BRAKE. LUCKILY NO ONE WAS INJURED NOR WAS THE CAR DAMAGED OR HIT. I CAME OVER AND WHEN I ARRIVED I SAW THAT THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE HAD BASICALLY DISINTEGRATED. THE THREAD WAS OUT OF THE TIRE AND THE SIDES OF THE TIRE EMBEDDED IN THE WHEEL RIM WHICH HELPED AVOID DAMAGE TO RIM AS THE CAR WAS RIDING ON THE RIM AT THAT POINT. A SUPPORT TRUCK FROM FLORIDA DOT CAME AND ASSISTED IN INSTALLING SPARE TIRE. TECHNICIAN NOTED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT SEEMS TO HIT THE TIRE. IT SEEMED TO BE A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE FROM THE TIRE. CAR HAS ONLY 13,000 MILES. TIRES ARE ALWAYS INFLATED TO CORRECT RECOMMENDED PSI. PERHAPS THESE TIRES NEED TO BE RECALLED?
At 19,000 miles my truck would shake if you hit any kind of bump over 45 mph. At lower speeds it feels 35mph and lower like the whole front end rattles. Took i to the dealer and they said it was just the steering stabilizer and that all other joint and bushings were tight and ok. 3,000 miles later i am on a trip to spokane wa. Then back to helena, mt. Approx 630 miles round trip. On the way to spokane the front end seemed to bouncing around any time we hit a bump or uneven bridge deck. On the way back to helena it only got worse. I almost lost control on my truck 5 times as it seemed like the whole front end was going to fall off the truck. My wife was so scared that she wanted me to stop and let her out. This is my wife's daily driver and now she is to scared to even drive it anywhere. I went to ford and told them that i had researched the problems that people are having with the same issue and it sounds like ford just throws parts at them hoping it will fix it. These truck are going to kill someone if they done get it figured out. I now have a $50,000 truck sitting in the garage because i am to scared to let it out on thew road cause i do not want to be responsible for the death of my family or the motoring public. I am thankful that i was driving and not my wife.
Purchased the vehicle 2/03/17. On 12/01/17 wife and 7 yr. Old daughter was driving the 2017 f250 vehicle on i205 northbound on glen jackson bridge in oregon. She ran over the expansion joint going about 60mph and the the front of the truck started bouncing violently. Other traffic moved away from her as she was losing control of vehicle. She was able to bring the vehicle to a stop safely on the shoulder. We immediately took the truck to the dealer where they could not get the issue to reoccur. They sent it out the door in same condition. Issue reoccurred many times. Finally i was able to record it on video and only then would weslie ford take it in and do work on it. Service writer marie said ford did not have a repair for this issue. She said they would put some shims in to help. It did a bit. But still actually bounces so bad sometimes that the wheels leave the road and you lose control of steering.. Called service manager mario at dealer and told him we are lucky that my wife and daughter didnt get in a accident, hurt, or killed because of the truck malfunction. He said "unfortunately sometimes thats what it takes to get something done". Really? I was shocked! Please follow up with this and ensure that weslie ford, service writers and others are aware of this issue. Peoples lives are in danger and at risk. All i ask is that ford stand behind vehicle malfunctions and repair them so that people are safe. Thank you
