MY WIFE WAS DRIVING THE 1998 Jaguar XE 20D WITH ABOUT 13,000 ON ODOMETER, ON THE HIGHWAY (I-95) AT NORMAL SPEEDS WHEN SUDDENLY SHE SAW IN AN INSTANT THAT THE DASH INDICATED A PROBLEM WITH THE TIRE AND THE CAR STARTED TO JERK TO THE OTHER LANE AND SHE COULD BARELY BRAKE. LUCKILY NO ONE WAS INJURED NOR WAS THE CAR DAMAGED OR HIT. I CAME OVER AND WHEN I ARRIVED I SAW THAT THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE HAD BASICALLY DISINTEGRATED. THE THREAD WAS OUT OF THE TIRE AND THE SIDES OF THE TIRE EMBEDDED IN THE WHEEL RIM WHICH HELPED AVOID DAMAGE TO RIM AS THE CAR WAS RIDING ON THE RIM AT THAT POINT. A SUPPORT TRUCK FROM FLORIDA DOT CAME AND ASSISTED IN INSTALLING SPARE TIRE. TECHNICIAN NOTED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT SEEMS TO HIT THE TIRE. IT SEEMED TO BE A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE FROM THE TIRE. CAR HAS ONLY 13,000 MILES. TIRES ARE ALWAYS INFLATED TO CORRECT RECOMMENDED PSI. PERHAPS THESE TIRES NEED TO BE RECALLED?
OUR 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 WAS PURCHASED NEW FROM THE DEALERSHIP IN AUGUST 2017. THE TIRES THAT CAME WITH THE TRUCK ARE CONTINENTAL CROSSCONTACT LX20. I BEGAN TO NOTICE CHUNKS OF RUBBER TREAD COMING OFF OF ALL 4 TIRES WHEN THEY HAD APPROXIMATELY 27,000 MILES. I HAD THEM INSPECTED AT THE DEALERSHIP DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS. I WAS TOLD IT WAS NORMAL WEAR FOR THESE TIRES. THE TIRES ARE RATED FOR 70,000 MILES. I CURRENTLY HAVE 36,500 MILES ON MY VEHICLE AND TOOK IT IN FOR REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND TIRE ROTATION. I WAS TOLD THAT THE TIRES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO PITTING AND CHUNKING. THERE IS GOOD TREAD LEFT ON THE TIRES, HOWEVER THE RUBBER IS COMING OFF IN HUGE CHUNKS ON ALL 4 TIRES. THE MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN CONTACTED TO ADDRESS MY CONCERNS.

THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE TIRES WERE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE CONSUMER STATED THAT THE ELECTRONICS IN THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT POWER OFF, DRAINING THE BATTERY. THE VEHICLE OVER-HEATED AND WENT INTO LIMP MODE; THE ENGINE WAS REPLACED.
While operating vehicle, entering interstate i started to experience uncontrollable vibration in the rear of my vehicle. The passenger rear tire had suddenly lost tread without warning. The tire in question is lt275/65r20 bfgoodrich all terrain t/a ko2. Luckily i was able to remain in control of vehicle otherwise this could have easily resulted in loss of control of vehicle and worst case fatality. The tire in which lost tread caused $3400-3700 in damages, left me without a full set of tires that were at only half life and a vehicle that has sat for a month and a half due to said damages. To this date michelin north america has not followed through to right this wrong in its products. This incident occurred on may 28th and was handled in a matter of hours on my end. Michelin has continuously dragged their feet through the entire process which took them a month and a half to come to the conclusion that it was not their problem but my problem. The customer service that was contacted was on average hard to work with and provided very little direction and insight that this would be resolved in a timely manner. When being transferred to the claims department it was an even worse experience with very little communication, individuals that rarely answered phone calls and staff that has no care for the customers that rely on michelin products.
While driving on the freeway the car blew a tire on the rear left side of the vehicle. The tire was punctured in an awkward location, close to the inner wall of the outside of the vehicle. The tire had only been driven for 25000 miles.

The first one at 19k miles / 12/21/2019 (thought it was just a bad tire and bought another from sterling mccall lexus in houston texas) the second at 23k miles 05/28/2020. Now that's a problem. Purchase the care from sterling mccall lexus pre owned with new tires on the car. Talked to several lexus service members and they are aware of the problem and three lexus vehicles have this tire issue (lexus gs, rc and is vehicles and they will not do anything about it.
My 2020 ford explorer which i purchased a week ago and is equipped with hankook kinergy gt tires has me all over the road when traveling on the freeway at speeds above 55 miles per hour on straight aways along with curves. It is dangerous because with short notice the vehicle will drift to the left or right because of the quality of the tires, upon further investigation it appears that many others that have vehicle? S with these tires experience blow-outs, uneven wearing, and complaints about ride quality. *tr
I purchased pirelli p zero summer sports 245/40 in the rear and drove about 300 miles since, and they look worn-out and the car slips pretty bad in the rain. Just after purchasing the tires on a rainy day on the highway my car spun out almost ran into the median. Who would have thought that brand new tires would wear out so quickly that it would become slick in 100-200 miles with normal driving, no track, no racing? Pirelli or discount tire is not taking this safety concern seriously and is only stalling. I have called 6-7 times and they keep telling me to contact the discount tire, and discount tire says i need to call pirelli for manufacture defects. *tr

THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO RECALL THE DEALER COGSWELL FORD LOCATED AT 1900 E MAIN ST, RUSSELLVILLE, AR 72801 479-968-2665. THE DEALER HAD NOT BEEN RECONTACTED YET.
