While pulling out of a parking space (less than 5 mph) i heard a clank/pop sound. When i then applied my brakes they sunk to the floor and barely stopped the car. I had no brakes. Brake fluid then started to puddle under the front passengers side wheel and on inspection i noticed the brake fluid dripping from the brake line. I have been current with all my car maintenance and there was never a mention of any issue with the break lines. I had this car towed and upon inspection by a mechanic it was determined that the front drivers side brake lines were also bulging and needed replacing. The front brake lines going from the caliper to the main brake line fitting, are the parts that were bad. I have attached pictures and notes from the mechanic. While driving approximately 40 mph through a double curve on a city street the steering locked up on my 2018 jeep wranlger. A steering error, check engine light, traction control and abs light all came on. The vehicle had to be towed back to the dealer. This is now the 3rd time the vehicle has been taken to the dealer (twice via tow). Each time, the scanner has given the same codes yet fca has returned the vehicle to me stated its fixed. The steering locking up could have resulted in an accident harming myself or another vehicle.

While pulling into a parking space, the brakes shuttered and they wouldn't hardly work. Almost couldn't get the vehicle stopped. A warning on my dash said "service brake assist. " there was a recall issued in canada but non here for my vehicle so far. This is a dangerous safety hazard that needs to be fixed. Gmc needs to establish a recall as soon as possible.

Duramax 2500hd silverado lt steering/brake issue when rear tires go below tpms threshold of 56 psi per tire and illuminate a warning light. The symptoms were while driving in forward direction a feeling of bad brakes/warped rotor/missing lug nuts with a continual increase of shaking past 25mph up to 65mph at which point it felt completely unsafe. Other symptoms were noticeably worse while braking the steering wheel became almost unholdable and shaking to an extreme. Brakes, rotors and associated hardware have been checked and are in good condition. The truck only has 72k miles on it. After stopping at a shop and putting air back in the tires back to "within tolerance up to 65 psi per tire. The truck drives normally as it should without shake or wobble. It currently has non factory tires of brand: toyo a/t open country. Size: lt265/70/r17

TL-THE CONTACT 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SMOKE FROM THE EXHAUST PIPE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE WAS BURNING OIL AND NEEDED TO BE CHANGE. THE OIL WAS CHANGE TO SEE IF THAT WOULD HELP AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO HERB CONNOLLY HYUNDAI, 520 WORCESTER RD, FRAMINGHAM, MA 01702, AND WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE OIL LEVEL WAS PERFECT ON ARRIVAL AND WAS NOT REPLICATING THE FAILURE OF THE SMOKE. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO MIRAK HYUNDAI, 1165 MASSACHUSETTS AVE, ARLINGTON, MA 02476, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT TOO MUCH OIL WAS ADDED. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT WAS TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACCT THAT THERE WAS NO REMEDY AVAILABLE FOR THE OPEN RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V520000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. While parking the truck i loss all brake pressure. The pedal went to the floor and i had to stand on the brakes to get the truck stopped. Once stopped and parked i repeatedly pumped the pedal with no changes. I had the truck towed to a mechanic who found no issues with the fluid or system in general. He drove the vehicle with no issues for 10 minutes. He checked the pads and calipers for any issues with none being found. After putting the wheels back on the truck it exhibited a recurrence of loss of brake pressure.

I was driving in a parking lot and went to apply the brakes. There was no resistance, and i had to push the brake pedal down to the floor to get any resistance, and the vehicle finally slowed to a stop, taking much longer than usual. My two young children and wife were in the car with me as well. I got out of the vehicle, and looked underneath, only to see brake fluid leaking out near the front right tire. Upon getting back in the vehicle, i received a warning that the brake fluid level was low. The vehicle has 43,000 miles on it, and we had driven 20+ miles earlier without issue. We did not run anything over or hit anything. There is a current recall on this vehicle regarding a brake issue, however, on towing to the dealer, they told me this issue is not related, yet i feel that it is, and is too coincidental to happen in the exact location of the recalled part. They tried to tell me that i must have run something over to cause the rupture/leak, but i know this is not the case.

I WAS JUST LEAVING MY JOB, AND DRIVING DOWN A LOCAL, DOUBLE YELLOW-LINED ROAD, DOING ABOUT 35-40 MPH, WHEN MY 2018 Nissan Rogue'S AUTOMATIC BREAKING SYSTEM SUDDENLY, AND AGGRESSIVELY ENGAGED, CAUSING THE ENTIRE VEHICLE TO SHUDDER, AND MAKE A HORRIBLE NOISE, ALONG WITH FLASHING ORANGE, TRIANGLE WARNING LIGHT. THE TERRIFYING PART ABOUT IT, WAS THAT THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN FRONT OF ME, AND THANKFULLY NO ONE BEHIND ME. I PULLED OVER, AND HAD A SMALL NERVOUS BREAKDOWN. THIS IS AN EXTREME SAFETY ISSUE! I DON'T WANT TO THINK ABOUT WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED, HAD I BEEN ON THE EXPRESSWAY OR HAD MY DAUGHTER IN THE CAR, AND THERE WAS AN ACCIDENT! NISSAN SHOULD ABSOLUTELY RECALL THE CARS AFFECTED BY THIS! NOT JUST ISSUE BULLETINS TO DEALERSHIP'S. UNACCEPTABLE. I'M CALLING THE DEALERSHIP TOMORROW, TO FIND OUT WHAT CAN BE DONE. NOW, I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR.

This car was repaired under campaign 19v149000 on july 27 for the brake light switch issue. Since the repair of the recall, i have taken my car back to international subaru in tinley park, il for follow up service related to the replacement part. The problem i've encountered on a number of occasions is the car alerts that there is an issue stating "hill start assist system needs to be checked" while the car is in motion. The car then cuts all throttle capabilities for approximately 5 seconds and the car just coasts before resuming taking a throttle input. When this happens the car is just coasting and drops 15+ mph in speed. This alert seems to be triggered randomly and it causes serious safety concerns when without warning my car suddenly loses any usage of the throttle. This problem has been traced back to the part replaced in the recall and the dealer found the records in the car's computer showing the switch was active when it wasn't being pressed. This issue first surfaced on 8/31/20 but has come back numerous times since then. Furthermore, i had issues where the brake lights were on on the car overnight with the switch active with no input causing a drained battery. This is a more serious issue than just lights because the car's throttle cuts out without warning and this has been traced back to the switch on my car. I would rather have the original recalled part replaced in my car compared to the recall replacement part.

PURCHASED 2019 Chrysler Pacifica LIMITED IN JULY 2020 WITH JUST OVER 30,000 MILES ON IT. LAST WEEK THE MASTER CYLINDER FOR THE BRAKING SYSTEM STARTED TO ACT UP. WHEN SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT/SIGN THE BRAKES START TO MAKE A LOUD HISSING SOUND AND PUSH BACK AGAINST MY FOOT FORCING ME TO PUSH THE PEDDLE ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WITH MORE FORCE THEN SHOULD BE NEEDED. THIS CAUSES THE BREAKS TO DISENGAGE AND THE VAN ROLLS. I AM FORCED TO PUT THE VAN IN PARK AT STOP LIGHTS SO I WILL NOT ROLL INTO TRAFFIC OR VEHICLES IN FRONT OF ME WHEN I AM SUPPOSED TO BE STOPPED. SOMETIMES I AM ON A DECLINE OR EVEN JUST SITTING ON A STRAIGHT AWAY WAITING AT A STOPLIGHT/SIGN. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AS I HAVE MY KIDS IN THE VEHICLE 90% OF THE TIME. I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WITH THIS SAME ISSUE THAT I HAVE SEEN ON THE FORUMS AND NHTSA THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.

PURCHASED A NEW 2017 Trax. AT THE 3 YEAR MARK OR NEAR, I HEARD A SQUEAL FROM TIME TO TIME WHILE DRIVING FORWARD. AT NO TIME DID THE BRAKE SQUEAL WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKE. AT 9500 MILES ( 3YEARS)WHEN THE SQUEAK HAPPENED , NO WARNING LIGHTS OR ONSTAR INDICATED THERE WAS A BRAKE ISSUE. MONTHLY UPDATES AS TO CAR MAINTENANCE ALSO INDICATED NO ISSUES. UPON TAKING THE CAR TO THE DEALER FOR SERVICE, I WAS TOLD THAT MUD AND DIRT GOT INTO THE BRAKES AND THAT THE CAR NEEDED NEW BRAKES, PADS, CALIPER SLIDES, ROTORS. KNOWING THE LOW MILEAGE ON THE VEHICLE AND KNOWING ALL CARS THE NORM IS USUALLY AROUND 20,000 MILES THE BRAKES ARE READY TO BE SERVICED. BUT NOT AT 9,500 MILES. ALSO HAD A PRIOR ISSUE WHERE BRAKE FLUID LEAKED OUT OF THE VEHICLE WHEN DRIVING AT 2500 MILEAGE. I HAD TO HAVE THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOUR REPLACED AS IT WAS BROKEN . AT 2500 MILEAGE THE MASTER CYLINDER LEAKED INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS REPLACED. CANT HELP BUT WONDER IF THAT RELATED TO LATER ISSUE WITH THE BRAKES REPLACED AT 9500 MILES. I WAS TOLD AT THE DEALER THAT MUD AND DIRT GOT INTO THE BRAKES AND THAT THE BRAKES WERE 'HOT" WHATEVER THAT MEANS. .HAD I KNOWN THAT IT WAS A BRAKE ISSUE BY THE INDICATOR LIGHTS AND UPDATES ON ONSTAR I WOULD HAVE CONSIDERED IT A SERIOUS PROBLEM AND TAKEN THE CAR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BUT I WAITED AS NO WARNING LIGHTS AND NO INDICATION FROM DRIVING THAT THE BRAKES WERE AN ISSUE. FOR SOME REASON I GOT A CREDIT FOR 167.00 ON MY BILL FOR WHAT I DO NOT KNOW AS IT SHOWED AS INSURANCE? I PAID A TOTAL OF 483.00 . I CAN ONLY ASSUME IT WAS FOR THE BRAKES AS THEY WERE FAULTY TO BEGIN WITH. THANK GOODNESS I DIDNT HAVE AN ACCIDENT WHILE DRIVING. THANKS FOR LISTENING.

When i go to accelerate from a stopped position; the car stalls and turns off and then it turns itself back on. Additionally, when i drive over 50 mph the car/tires start to vibrate.

The vehicle was maintained regularly in dealer? S service center. It is a local commute vehicle and has less than 40000 miles. In nov 2019, the vehicle was found out of alignment, four tires were worn out and two breaks were out too. All four tires and two breaks were replaced. In june 2020, i reported bad smell to the service center but nothing was found. In sep 2020, bad smell was noticed again. The service center found oil leak in the engine front and back. The engine was opened and some parts were replaced. Service center also found the condenser was leaking and replaced it. In less than a year, three defects happened and two were rare but major defects. During this time, the car was only driven around 2000 miles. I reported to subaru customer service. They just told me to keep an eye on it.

This complaint is in follow up to previous complaint 11353585 regarding frozen caliper. As previous stated the dealer acknowledged the issue. The reason for this follow up is to report an associated issue. Specifically, that i found it impossible to locate a replacement brake caliper. The caliper was only available thru the dealer, not including labor, the dealer charged $570. 88 for one caliper. I have replaced numerous calipers over the years and have never spent over $150 for a caliper. This is a ridiculous price for a caliper and appears to be monopolized price gouging by mitsubishi.

When i try to start my car, the steering wheel and break pedal are locked. When i press the brake and push the start button nothing happens. The battery is charged and there is no corrosion on the cables.

Bought a mazda cx5 june 2020 and it was involve in a accident sept 17th 2020 do to brake failure. My mother was driving the vehicle and attempted parking in a apartment complex when the vehicle failed to stop and collided with the facility 20ft in front of the parking space. At the incident, i the owner, found 3 damage rotors were the flaw came from heavy grinding at the caliber (see attach photos). Within the caliber's alloy you can also see the chipped alloy produced from a flaw & the alignment of where it grinds the rotor (see attached photos). A witness stated she was present during the time of the collision and a police report was take from the witness. I can provide plenty of more pictures and videos to explain the geographic and demonstrate via video the flaws at the collision. I've attempt contacting mazda four times but they continue to placed the blame on me "for bad driving damaging items they consider tear and wear products (rotors and calibers)" i explained i only had the vehicle for 3months and its three rotors with similar damage. Yet they told me my insurance must find them at blame. My insurance appraiser stated they will not go to that distance; they just fix or pay off the loan. I am fustrated! You all are my last hope! Going through my insurance will cause me a deductable and at fault blame. Going through mazda is insulting their product, yet i find this frighting but it's their responsibility to conduct further research to why the rotor/caliber went bad in such a short span. Explaining! Even if i am to be blamed, for the incident. What about the product? I only owned the vehicle for three months. Within a little over 3,000 miles. Please help

Brakes extremely pedal sponge to the floor. Extreme brake stoppage. Vehicle was in motion and was able to stop slowly on city street. I sent it back to a near home to stay. Extremely close to collision. No damages. Replaced master cylinder to repair center. Dealership was not available.

When driving 30 mph my e-brake engaged by itself causing brake to lock up and jeep to turn off. Jeep mechanic cannot find code or anything wrong with it!
