'several times over the last 3 months the vehicle randomly accelerates usually when i brake to slow down the car. I have to put the car in neutral to stop the racing of the engine. It happens at various speeds, 5,10,20, 60. It is scary and i have to allow extra room while driving.
I was stopped, preparing to pull into my garage, when the car accelerated rapidly and smashed through my wall, breaking freezer & sheving unit in my garage. It also damaged many items in the bathroom and laundry room, doors, and walls on other side of garage wall. This is the 2nd incident, in 2019 the same thing happened on a street. I was stopped in traffic and when i started to move the car accelerated and hit the car in front of me. After the first incident i did not file a claim. Tesla was certain that i had accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of brake, and accepted that. In both incidents the car felt as though it was flying, the car was moving so fast.
My vehicles transmission i was told it has to do with transmission i thought it was a cv joint i not but it turned out to be way more then then that the accelerator peddle would get stuck and then take off fast almost hit someone.
On two occasions the truck has gotten the shakes and it? S hard to control on the road. Steering wheel vibrates bad too. Was going about 50 mph each time. Once down the highway in a construction area and the other time down a county road. I believe it has a? Death wobble?
I was driving on several occasions and the car would just slow down out of nowhere on the highway. I couldn? T get the car past 80 or it would shake. If i stopped the car or even slowed down, (anywhere, street or highway) the car wouldn? T move at all. I would be pushing the pedal on the floor for 10 minutes just to get it to 5mph. If i would go up a small incline, the car would roll back and barely stop ( almost resulting in several potentially fatal collisions). At times my reverse wouldn? T even work if i couldn? T press the gas and if it did work then i couldn? T drive froward. It would take me almost 30 minutes to get home from work and my job is exactly 10 minutes in a straight line from my house (on the street. No highway). If that gives any perspective. Once the car was parked it was fine. All the problems occurred while the car was in motion.

DOCUMENTED OVER 350 INCIDENTS OF THIS SUBJECT PACIFICA FOR 3 YEARS. OFTEN, I COULD NOT STOP THE ENGINE FROM RACING AT ITS HIGHEST RATE OF SPEED WHILE ON FREEWAYS AND OTHER ROADS. THIS VEHICLES ENGINE DOES NOT SLOW DOWN AND BEGIN FORCED PUMPING OF BRAKES MAKING THE VEHICLE RISE IN HEIGHT AND.. II COULD NOT STOP THIS PACIFICA ENGINE FROM SHUTDOWN RACING ENGINE UNTIL I PLACE THE SHIFT MECHANISM IN NEUTRAL TO SLOW IT DOWN AND KEEP IN FROM CRASHING INTO A FORWARD VEHCILE OBJECT. THE ENGINE GETS STUCK IN ITS FORMER HIGHEST RATE OF SPEED FOR 30 TO 45 SECONDS.ON A GOOD NUMBER OF OCCASIONS I HAVE TAKEN THIS SUBJECT VEHICLE TO RAY LATHEM DEALERSHIP IN DETROIT, MICHIGAN. THE DEALERSHIP PUT THOUSANDS OF MILES ON MY LEASED VEHICLE AND STATED THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT THE SAFETY STUCK ACCELERATION PROBLEM WAS. CHRYSLER WOULD NOT ACKNOWLEDGE ANY SAFETY ACCELERATION PROBLEMS AND I HAD MY VEHICLE TESTED BY SOFTWARE ENGINEERS AND THEY ADVISED ME THAT THE AFOREMENTIONED CHRYSLER PACIFICA HAS DEFECTIVE UT MODULES, POWERTRAIN CONTROL PCM REPROGRAM MODULE POWERTRAIN CONTROL. THIS PACIFICA ENGINE CONTINUED TO STICK CAUSING THE ENGINE TO RACE A ITS FORMER HIGHEST RATE OF SPPED OF 55 OR 70 MILES PER HOUR. DURING WINTER WEATHER LIKE RAIN, SNOW OR ICE THIS VEHICLE WOULD TURN SIDEWAYS WHILE GETTING OFF THE FREEWAY SERVICE DRIVE. WHILE THIS IS MY 4TH CHRYSLER MINI VAN I HAVE PLACED MY FAMILY CHILDREN AT HIGH RISK OF BEING INJURED IN A CAR ACCIDENT. I HAVE WRITTEN THE PRESIDENT OF CHRYSLER AND ALL THIS STRESS THIS COST ME OVER 9,500 ADDITIONAL MILEAGE PENALTIES OF .28 CENTS PER MILE.. .
I was driving approx 70 mph on the interstate hwy when i engaged the cruise control. Shortly after that the car began braking. Pressing the accelerator wouldn't disengage the cruise control. The car came to a complete stop in the middle lane of the interstate. Only after turning off the engine and restarting was i able to drive.

THIS TAKES THE FORM OF TOTAL LOSS OF ACCELERATION POWER FOR A FEW SECONDS, USUALLY AFTER DEACCELERATING TO A NEAR STOP (USUALLY, BUT NOT ALWAYS, WHEN USING THE PADDLE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE STEERING WHEEL TO REGENERATIVELY BRAKE) THEN PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, OR WHEN MAKING A VERY TIGHT TURN (E.G., INTO A PARKING SPACE). POWER RETURNS A FEW SECONDS AFTER THE PAUSE, AND I CAN CONTINUE. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING THIS VEHICLE FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS, AND THERE HAS BEEN NOTHING SIMILAR HAPPEN PRIOR TO THE START OF THIS BEHAVIOR AT THE BEGINNING OF APRIL. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN GARAGED AND CHARGED NORMALLY AND NO EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS OR OTHER FACTORS HAD BEEN PRESENT BEFORE THIS WAS FIRST NOTICED. INSTANCES NOW SEEM TO BE INCREASING IN FREQUENCY THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS, HOWEVER. ON 2 OR 3 OCCASIONS, THE VEHICLE ACTUALLY BACKED UP A COUPLE OF FEET (ON LEVEL GROUND), WHICH WAS FRIGHTENING BOTH FOR ME AND THE AUTO BEHIND ME AND COULD HAVE RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT. ON THE OTHER OCCASIONS, BEING MOMENTARILY UNABLE TO ACCELERATE IS ALSO CONCERNING (FOR INSTANCE WHEN IT DIES HALFWAY INTO A TRAFFIC CIRCLE OR IN AN INTERSECTION WHEN STARTING TO MAKE A TURN). ALTHOUGH NO WARNING LIGHTS WERE INITIALLY SEEN, I NOW GET A "CHECK ELECTRICAL SYSTEM" WARNING WHEN THIS POWER LOSS HAPPENS, SOMETIMES EVEN WHEN THERE HAS BEEN NO LOSS OF POWER TO THE MOTOR. THE WARNING LIGHT DISAPPEARS AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TURNED OFF AND ONLY REAPPEARS WHEN ANOTHER INCIDENT OCCURS. I HAVE ASKED THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT ABOUT THIS, WITH NO FIRM RESPONSE YET. I'M REPORTING TO DOCUMENT THIS IN THE EVENT OTHERS EXPERIENCE THIS PROBLEM.
I HAVE A 2018 Ram 2500 WITH 24320 MILES ON IT. THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT/ ABS/EBS SERVICE LIGHTS COME ON WHEN DRIVING. THE SPEED CONTROL GOES OFF. I HAVE SEEN ON THE RAM FORUM THAT THIS IS COMMON ON THIS AND THE 2017 YEARS TOO. MY QUESTION IS IF THERE ARE SEVERAL 100 PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. WHY HAVE YOU NOT ISSUED A RECALL. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED, JUMPED THE CURB AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THERE WAS NO REPORTED FIRE. THE POLICE REPORT HAD NOT BEEN FINALIZED. THE DRIVER WAS PROVIDED MEDICAL ATTENTION HOWEVER SUCCUMBED TO HER INJURIES. A WITNESS INFORMED THE POLICE THAT THE DRIVER WAS SPEEDING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 5,517.
It was mildly raining and i went to accellerate onto the highway and all a sudden without warning the car started to violently shake and stutter and the car lost all power and i was almost hit by another car because i lacked power. The vehicle then refused to accelerate and i had to dangerously glide off the highway without power and the vehicle had to be towed. Every check engine light came on. I then had the vehicle fixed and they said it was a problem with an engine coil. Three weeks later in the same situation in the mild rain the exact same problem happened again. I went to get on the highway in a mild rain the car broke down the exact same way. I am waiting for it get diagnosed again.
When driving on a windy road around 40mph the car went into limp mode causing the car to suddenly decelerate to 5 mph which nearly caused an accident by the car behind me. The car then started displaying multiple error codes on the dash (electric parking brake problem, emissions system problem, brake system problem, brake hold system problem, vehicle stability assist problem, hill start assist problem, lane departure warning problem).
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THIS MORNING AT OVER 65 MPH WHEN SUDDENLY MY 2018 Malibu STARTED SLOWING DOWN AND WOULD NOT RESPOND TO ACCELERATOR. I SAW THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WERE ON AND THERE WAS A MESSAGE SAYING "ENGINE POWER REDUCED." WAS NOT ABLE TO ACCELERATE PAST 30 MPH. HIGHWAY WAS BUSY BUT WAS ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE FAST LANE OVER TO THE FAR RIGHT LANE AND GET TO WORK. AFTER A FEW HOURS, I STARTED CAR AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REMAINED ON, BUT THE "ENGINE POWER REDUCED" MESSAGE WAS GONE. AFTER SEEING SO MANY COMPLAINTS FOR THIS ISSUE, I FEEL GM SHOULD PERMANENTLY FIX THIS ISSUE AS IT COULD HAVE DANGEROUS CONSEQUENCES.

Every time i drive at least 30-35 miles i get the mitigation, collision and acc problem ive taken the car to honda 3 times and they are not able to figure out the problem. I? Ve paid for them to recenter the radar sensor but that didn? T work now they are requesting i replace radar for $1,500. This car has 40,000 miles on it why am i having issues already? Once i turn the car off the error message leave but once i get to the 30-35 miles it comes back up.
My porsche 2020 s has breaking issues when in sport mode. When the car downshifts from 3rd to 2nd gear, and 2nd to 1st gear, this is a sudden jolt forward or "lurging" that occurs every time. This is a safety risk in bumper to bumper traffic as the car can suddenly jump forward a few feet more than intended by normal breaking. Even when driving and breaking explicitly to compensate for this transmission / breaking defect, the lurging issue cannot be avoided. The only way to avoid this issue is to (a) break hard from 3rd to 1st gear (so from a fairly high speed down to 0, which lends additional breaking safety risks in non-ideal weather conditions such as breaking downhill or on wet / icy roads), or (b) to not drive the car in one of the two driving modes offered. The manufacturer's service department claims there is no issue, but some quick google searches show this issue is experienced widely and well documented, and a software fix has been rolled out overseas that isn't available in north america

THE CONTACT TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE HOWEVER, THE GEAR SHIFTER FAILED TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE SHIFTER LINK BUSHING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
Vehicle rpms increase during highway speeds- dealership determined it was a known cvt
I was driving up a hill and as i reached the top of the incline, my car stopped accelerating. I then attempted to use my brakes and i barely tapped them, but they reacted as if i slammed on my breaks. I took my foot off of the brakes and i began rolling backwards even though my car was still in drive. My brakes were then locked, i put my car in park and then turned off & then back on my car without removing the key. I then put my car back into drive, however, my gas pedal was still not working. I then turned my car off again, removed the key, put the key back, then restarted and went back into drive and it began to work again. There was not an issue after that.

THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER TEAM HONDA (6363 SIEGEN LN, BATON ROUGE, LA 70809) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT SHE HAD RECEIVED A MANUFACTURER RECALL NOTICE THAT LISTED A FAILURE FOR UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 26,000.
