My vehicle would not exit out of a drive or moving until i stopped the vehicle and disconnected the neg battery cable. The vehicle stayed in a state of high rpms. There were no warning signs and no warnings displayed on the truck display. This is the second "speeding out of control" situation in two days. I fear for the safety of myself, my family, and everyone around me. I don't know what triggers the onset of this condition. I exited from state highway 5 onto exit 104 (hwy 101) and took a left on mud bay road. I was traveling 30-35 mph when i began to slow down to almost a complete stop to make the right turn into the swimming facility. My truck would not slow down. I pushed he brakes very hard to prevent the truck from speeding uncontrollably. I pulled in to a parking spot as best as i could. The truck rpms were maxed. I own an automatic drive. With my foot on the brake, i shifted from d to n. There was a loud sound of gears during the shift. The truck rpms were still maxed out. I turned off the truck and placed the truck in p. I also enabled the parking brake. I started the truck and the truck rpms were still maxed out. I kept the truck running for an additional 30 seconds. My wife and bystanders indicated that there was a burning smell emanating from the truck. I turned off the truck and the truck displayed an "overheating" warning. I allowed the truck to cool down and disconnected the neg battery cable for 15 min. After i reconnected the neg cable, the truck reset to normal running conditions. I have owned the truck for three months and the truck is still under factory warranty. The dealership that i bought it from does not acknowledge that 2020 f-150s have had problems with the transmission/engine. I will take my truck there tomorrow (13may2021) for them to view the error codes.
Radio my link switches and causes your distraction while driving. The screen switched navigation, radio, phone links and causes major distraction while driving. This is very unsafe and has caused me to be startled and distracted. It happens while moving and stationary. It happens intermittently some days then constant other days and requires you to power-down the my link to not be distracted. This is very unsafe.
The cue system is cracking and non responsive to any touch input. I have followed the instructions for resetting the system but this does not correct the lack of response nor the screen cracking.. I cannot control the navigation system, radio, specific climate settings, language of the instrumentation (currently stuck in french). This is not covered now that out of warranty and the dealership wants $2000. 00+ to replace the entire unit with an identical one that will develop the same problem. This is a design defect and these should all be recalled. Ny wife is disabled and relied on the navigation system to find directions to locations.
Multiple dead batteries over past year. When rear lift gate is left open for less then an hour with all lights including interior off it drains battery. 2019 lift gate module recalled due to? Dark draw? But didn? T include earlier 2020 models which did not have new module incorporated yet. Please investigate to include the early 2020 models in recall. This is happening to many people and is a hazard to be left stranded over such an easy fix that has already been incorporated in the 2019 models with the recall... My car is in that? Grey area? Only cause it is not a 2019 but before the fix was addressed on the 2020 year.
Uconnect is the stereo in this vehicle. It has been replaced 4 times. It glitches and causes the system to freeze and restart itself. The dealership has done all they can do and sent me a picture of the response they received from jeep to wait for an update. I reached out to jeep, they told me to contact uconnect. I did and i get the same response, even from the people in higher positions. My issues are 1) safety - this screen is used for the back up cameras. What if i back over someone or something? 2) heated steering wheel and seats are also controlled from this panel. I live in nebraska and i do not want to freeze my butt off or fry it off just because i can't access the buttons. Again, my number one concern is the safety of not being able to accurately access the back up cameras. I am supposed to wait for this update to happen in june or july. I have been dealing with this since i got the vehicle in april of 2020. This occurs when backing up, hot or cold outside, driving anywhere, forward, backwards, in town, on the highway. Any time, no specific rhyme or reason for when it happens! I have videos as well but it appears that i can not load them because they are a mov file. The mileage and dates provided are the most recent. As stated above, there have been several instances and radio replacements.
CONCERNING NHTSA RECALL 21V-035, FOR Tesla Model S EMMC MEMORY. I HAD MY MCU REPLACED IN APRIL, 2020 BY TESLA IN PEABODY, MASSACHUESTTS AT MY OWN EXPENSE, TO ADDRESS FAILING EMMC MEMORY AS COVERED BY RECALL 21V-035. UNDER THE TERMS OF THE RECALL, TESLA HAS PROMISED TO REIMBURSE OWNERS WHO HAD WORK DONE TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE AND PAID OUT-OF-POCKET. I WAS ONE OF THESE OWNERS. TESLA IS STEADFASTLY REFUSING TO REIMBURSE MY CLAIM, DESPITE BEING THE ONLY OPTION OFFERED TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE WHICH SHOWED SYMPTOMS EXCLUSIVELY ASSOCIATED WITH FAILURE OF THE EMMC MEMORY. I WOULD LIKE NHTSA'S HELP WITH GETTING THE REFUND THAT TESLA OWES ME. THE INVOICE FOR THE WORK IS ATTACHED.
Air conditioner blowing hot air. Does not hold coolant when replaced or recharged
The car is off and the radio turns on by itself. While the car is in motion the airconditioner works occasionally (not very often) and when the ac goes out the power windows go out as well. The warning sensors on side do not work either.
The evap core started leaking a month ago had the car for 2 years and as i read online its a common issue and chevy doesnt want to fix it. Sometimes the transmission shifts hard but doesnt happen often
Driving on city street and interstate the infotainment system in the vehicle will randomly go out. This has happened in the past but has progressively gotten worse. The infotainment system houses the gps and climate control (defrost) system along with the car settings (adas) and entertainment system. When you are dependent on the gps for navigation and you loose the directions you go into a panic situation trying to figure things out. When the windshield fogs and you can't use the defrost system it becomes a visibility issue. Dealership has updated the software but still continues to happen.
FRONT SEATS HAVE A MANUAL DOOR RELEASE IN CASE OF EMERGENCIES. REAR OCCUPANTS DO NOT HAVE AN EMERGENCY DOOR RELEASE. I DO NOT WANT MY CHILDREN TO DIE IN A FIREBALL DEATH INSIDE THE CAR. Driving on freeway at 65 mph with no other vehicles around and the sun roof exploded. It sounded like an explosion and glass fell into the car. There was no evidence in the car that anything fell onto the sunroof.
Backup camera does not show after the driver shifts out of reverse.
I was about to get on the freeway when my car's electrical system failed and i got several warning lights. The braking/stop start system, lights and a few other lit up. I pulled off the road and had it towed. The dealership said water (rain) got in through my sunroof and shorted my system (warranty won't cover). There are several class action suits re. This issue already and audi knows about it, but there's no recall and cars have stopped suddenly on the freeway. It's very dangerous.
As we are driving down a freeway, the panoramic sunroof exploded with a loud pop and glass fell onto us. It was alarming and our attention was diverted from driving to trying to figure out what happened. We made our way to the edge of the road and stopped. We looked for a rock etc, but did not find anything. The remaining glass on the sunroof looked like it was blown from the inside out. From researching online it appears that this has been happening for years. The weather was clear and in the mid-60s with the interior temperature in the 68 range. This is a huge safety issue!
MY Tesla Model S HAS THE V1 HARDWARE, ALSO KNOWN AS MCUV1, WITH THE DAUGHTERBOARD EMMC REPLACEMENT FROM THE PREVIOUS RECALL RUNNING ON FIRMWARE 2020.48.37.1. THE SOUND FOR THE ENTIRE CAR WILL CUT OUT. IT MIGHT COME BACK, BUT EVEN A REBOOT OF THE CAR DOES NOT SOLVE ANYTHING. THESE SOUNDS MAY INCLUDE BLINKER NOISE, SPEED LIMIT CHIMES, LANE DEPARTURE WARNING, AUTOPILOT ENGAGE/DIS-ENGAGE CHIMES, GEAR WARNINGS, COLLISION SAFETY CHIMES, EARLY BRAKING WARNING, AND A LOT MORE SAFETY-RELATED SOUNDS. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I DRIVE THE CAR, NOT JUST THE REPORTED DATE. I HAVE BROUGHT IT IN FOR REPAIRS NUMEROUS TIMES, BUT THIS HAS NEVER BEEN ADDRESSED. I AM ONLY TOLD TO WAIT FOR A NEW FIRMWARE UPGRADE, WHICH I HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS NOW SINCE I FIRST REPORTED THE ISSUE TO TESLA. THIS ONLY HAPPENS WITH MCUV1 CARS AND THEY HAVE REFUSED TO PROVIDE A FREE HARDWARE UPGRADE EVEN AFTER MY INCESSANT REPORTS AND APPOINTMENTS STATING THAT IT IS UNSAFE.
Rear-backup camera went black after i drove car to pick up son at friends house at night camera worked, parked car overnight, went to use car next morning rear camera inop, i thought it was fuse so i checked fuse, not blown. Took car in to honda dealership 2 days later stated it was p&a due to failure, est. At over $700 to replace. Very unhappy since car is only 4yrs old and only 40k miles. How do honda owners know that this year camera was not affected like the recall on the 2018's. What if some 2017's had the defective cameras installed, so i called honda was told no recall on camera, brought up the 2018/ recall to the rep and she stated this did not affect my vin#. I was not satisfied and wanted this issue to be reviewed since there was no damage to the camera. I feel this is an issue honda should rectify due to it being a safety issue and the recalls on over thousand of other cameras in their other vehicles. Honda should stand by the oem parts that came with the vehicle and correct the safety issue regarding rear cameras that stop working. This is a multi-dollar industry because of the everyday people like myself that purchase these vehicles and that is why i feel honda should be more concerned with the safety of they drivers and others around them and add 2017 models to their recall list instead of making the consumer pay to an absurd amount of money to fix an issue with honda parts. Honda needs to stand by the craftsmanship of their parts and vehicles just like any other business and make it right to the consumer. I also had issues where car would feel like it was going to die while turning and accelerating, took it in and dealership to find out it was the fuel pump, made it seem like they were doing me a favor to replace it since it was out of warranty by only a few hundred miles when in fact it was a recall on my vin#. It has been fixed, did i get a lemon?
The blind spot detectors stopped working and a warning on the dash appeared saying "service side detection system". This warning pops up every time i turn on the car and the blind spot detectors do not work when i am driving.
2020 honda fit obtained 12-1-20 has been to brandon honda service dept. 3 times for same problems: 1) won't start 2)starts but with cranking. Service dept told me to drive it "every three days for 30 minutes at normal driving speed, get battery tender". I did both. Car is back at service dept. For same problem. When i went to brandon honda to pick up car service visit #3, the valet who brought the car to parking lot said he had difficulty starting car. I refused to take car off honda lot. I now use a honda loaner vehicle. Currently, the honda fit is still at brandon honda service dept. I have created extensive binder of docs/notes, etc. If/when i get car returned, i have no confidence in my safety while using this car. I have reported this situation to american honda motor co. Inc. My case # 12036048
On rainy days, when i am standing at a traffic light, and starting to get out of the green light, my car becomes unstable, as if it were going to skid. This happens whenever the street is wet. Report this problem from the first inspection of the car. At that time they changed an axis, but the problem persists
