TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 Volkswagen Jetta. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THAT THE BOLTS THAT SECURE THE FUEL LINES DETACHED. THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL ODOR OF FUEL INSIDE THE CABIN AND AROUND THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN HE TURNED ON THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM THE FUEL ODOR ENTERED THE VEHICLE THROUGH THE VENTS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS LEAKING FUEL FROM THE FUEL LINE OF ONE OF THE FUEL INJECTORS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MOLLE VOLKSWAGEN (808 W 103RD ST, KANSAS CITY, MO 64114) BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED DUE TO THE DIAGNOSTIC AND REPAIR COST. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V648000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 Infiniti Q50. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT HIGH SPEEDS, THE REAR END BECAME VERY UNSTABLE. THE ABS WOULD NOT OPERATE PROPERLY. WHILE DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THERE WAS NO PULSATION TO THE BRAKE PEDAL. ADDITIONALLY, THE COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM RANDOMLY ACTIVATED CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STOP ABRUPTLY WITH NO OBJECT OR VEHICLE NEARBY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL LINES WERE LEAKING CAUSING AN ODOR OF FUEL TO BE PRESENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WALKER TOYOTA (8457 SPRINGBORO PIKE, MIAMISBURG, OH) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL HOSE HAD BEEN DAMAGED BY RODENTS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WESELOH CHEVROLET IN CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, 760-438-1001 WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A FUEL FEEDER LINE WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 84,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FUCCILLO NISSAN (3893 NY-31, LIVERPOOL, NY 13090, 315-944-3200) WHERE THE TECHNICIAN REPROGRAMMED THE COMPUTER AND THE INDICATOR DIMMED. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL SENDING UNIT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE PART WAS UNAVAILABLE AND WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN APPROXIMATELY ONE MONTH. THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED A LOANER VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 258.

Takata recall. I have several complaints: (1)the key in the ignition switch doesn't want to turn and once turn the car off, it's hard to remove the key. This problem has been going on for over a year, but it's getting worse. (2) i have also been smelling gas, for at the past 2 years. This was reported to the dealer on one of the maintenance's trip. I was told to just put a higher octane of gas, instead of the 87 octane i was currently using. I started using 89 octane and still smelling the gas. (3) when driving you can fill the vehicle changing gears.
