Tail light cracked allowing water in lights causing lights to go out. Noticed this about 1. 5 years ago. No other damage, looks like it was cut with a laser. Car was stationary
When the car? S headlight switch is set to? Auto? , the head and taillights will turn on and off at random, regardless of lighting conditions. The lights randomly turn on while the car is off and stationary and has resulted in a drained battery on three occasions. . The lights turn on and then back off while in motion during daytime driving (as indicated by the dashboard indicator). When on and while in motion at night, the lights turn off, resulting in zero visibility while driving.
No headlights at night. Have to use the high beams and they are dim. Took it back to cadillac and they were aware of the situation and that there is no recall!????!!! More than willing to repair the vehicle for $2000. 00. Never would have expected this out of cadillac. Or nhtsa for that matter. How do you safely drive a vehicle at night with no headlights? Why is there no official recall on this problem?
Since january 2021, the screen with the rear camera go to black, many times and you only can see the red and yellow lines, so and other words when activate reverse the screen is black you can see nothing. Please help.
Water gets in the back track light which is a known issue with the dodge track lights. My track light completely shorted out including my license plate lights. Dodge knows of this design flaw and should have to cover the cost of the replacement which is $1000 plus labor. Totally ridiculous and a obvious safety hazard
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 Kia Sorento. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, THE LOW-BEAM HEADLIGHTS FAILED TO ADEQUATELY ILLUMINATE THE ROADWAY, CAUSING A VISIBILITY HAZARD FOR THE DRIVER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WALLACE KIA LOCATED AT 3131 SE FEDERAL HWY, STUART, FL 34994 WHO WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE DEALER RECOMMENDED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS BE UPGRADE TO LED LIGHTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 Honda Odyssey. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S SIDE HEAD LIGHTS DISPLAYED A HORIZONTAL LINE AND ABOVE THE HORIZONTAL LINE, NO LIGHT WAS PROJECTED. ADDITIONALLY, THE LIGHT BELOW THE HORIZONTAL LINE WAS NOT ADEQUATE FOR SAFE DRIVING. KEENAN HONDA (4311 W SWAMP RD, DOYLESTOWN, PA 18902) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT ANOTHER VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT IN WITH THE SAME ISSUE, AND THE HALOGEN BULBS WERE REPLACED WITH LED BULBS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WERE AWARE OF SIMILAR ISSUES HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE DIAGNOSED AT THE DEALER. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REPAIR HAD TO BE PAID FOR OUT OF POCKET OR THROUGH THE WARRANTY COVERAGE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000.
Daytime running lights stopped working
STARTING AROUND 100,000 MILES I NOTICED THE LOW BEAMS WERE TOO DIM. I REPLACED THE BULBS TWICE WHICH HAD NO EFFECT. I DIDN'T HAVE THE MONEY FOR NEW HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES SO I TRIED TO LIMIT MY DRIVING TO DAYTIME, OTHERWISE I HAD TO USE MY HIGH BEAMS TO SEE SAFELY. NOW MY VEHICLE HAS 135,000 MILES AND THE LIGHTS GOT WORSE TO THE POINT THAT IT WAS A SIGNIFICANT DANGER TO DRIVE AT NIGHT AND I NARROWLY AVOIDED AN ACCIDENT. I SEARCHED ONLINE TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE WAS HAVING THIS ISSUE AND THE INTERNET IS FULL OF ACURA OWNERS WITH COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS VERY THING. ACURA KNOWS ABOUT THIS AND ACTUALLY RECALLED THE 2014 RDX BECAUSE OF IT, BUT NOT THE 2015. I APPEALED TO ACURA TO ASK THEM TO PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND THEY SAID NO, CITING 1) TOO MANY MILES ON THE CAR (HEADLIGHTS ARE NOT A PART THAT SHOULD BE SUSCEPTIBLE TO WEAR AND TEAR .....I HAD A TOYOTA WITH 300,000 MILES THAT NEVER NEEDED A HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY REPLACED. THIS ANSWER HOLDS NO MERIT 2) I DIDN'T HAVE MY CAR SERVICED BY ACURA DEALERSHIP. I HAVE MAINTAINED MY VEHICLE TO PERFECTION THROUGH MY OWN MECHANIC AND WOULD NEVER PAY THE RIDICULOUS EXORBITANT FEES THE DEALERS CHARGE. JUST BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE MY CAR SERVICED WITH THE DEALER DOESN'T MEAN I DIDN'T TAKE CARE OF MY CAR. 3) THEY DON'T RECOGNIZE THIS AS A SAFETY CONCERN. I'M INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED AT ACURAS RESPONSE TO THIS. THIS IS MY FIRST ACURA AND WILL CERTAINLY BE MY LAST. THEY HAVE A KNOWN SAFETY ISSUE AND THEY TURN A BLIND EYE TO IT. WOULD THEY ONLY TAKE ACTION WHEN SOMEONE IS KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT? ACURA NEEDS TO BE RESPONSIBLE AND RECALL THIS MAKE AND MODEL. AND THEN THEY NEED TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL TO LEARN HOW TO MAKE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES BECAUSE OTHER CAR MANUFACTURERS SEEM TO HAVE FIGURED IT OUT. MAYBE THEY SHOULD CONSULT WITH TOYOTA
I purchased this vehicle 2 weeks ago never been happier. My complaint is about my headlights they have serious condensation in both and there is about an inch or 2 of water inside the headlights. This issue is causing bad visibility with low lighting. I have tried everything to keep the water out and provide headlights with proper air so this doesn't happen. How come chevrolet didn't recall these headlights due to poor design and improper ventilation. What can i do besides spend $200. 00 on 2 new ones?
The headlights are so dim night driving is impossible. New bulbs and lens cleaning had no effect. There are hundreds if not thousands of complaints online about the projector headlamps growing dangerously dim on acura's in this model year range. The car is not safe to drive at night and poses an imminent threat to public safety.
The headlights keep burning out. I've had the car for a little over a year now and have had to replace the headlights 3 times. I was driving one night a couple months ago and both low beam headlights went out. That was very dangerous. That was my second set of headlights now i'm on my 3rd set and the drivers side went out. I paid extra for the best set of headlights autozone had to offer at the time as i was in desperate need so i could drive home and it still lasted the same amount of time, purchased on 1/22/2021. Also, they're always dim. For the most expensive set of lights i expected more. I did a little research and seen that this is very common for this vehicle. Why is this allowed to continue? Someone is going to get hurt. Please research this and see what could be done. Headlights are very expensive. I have two other vehicles. A 2017 dodge journey that has never needed a headlight change and a 2007 ford escape that has only needed a few headlights in its entire existence. This is not right. The date listed below is the most recent incident.
Rain water leaks into the brake lights and ruins it all. The dealership said it costs $1,400 because they have to replace everything. Everywhere i called is back ordered on the parts because this happens so frequently. The car barely has 20k miles on it.
My left turn signal went out, so i replaced both my left and right turn signals. My vehicle now registers that my right turn signal is out constantly, even though it is operating properly and my left turn signal does the same periodically. Since my purchase of this vehicle, i have had issues with the navigation not functioning properly. The radio display itself has a mind of it's own, this is how you operate most of the vehicles climate functions, back up camera, navigation and radio. When the vehicle comes on, it is supposed to turn on. However more often than not, it chooses to be off, and i have to wait for it to decide to turn on. If i do not have the a/c know turned off when it does this, both my front and rear defrosters will turn on full blast until the display chooses to operate properly. I have had this system updated with a usb drive at a dealership and nothing has changed. Overtly, i am not at all satisfied with how these electrical issues continue and there seems to be no resolve.
The high beam brights stopped working
The passenger side led light (day time/fog light) has gone out. I searched online to see if there was a recall and ran across a lot of chevy owners with the exact same problem at the exact spot. If there isn't a recall then one should definitely been in order. Led light should not have gone out and i shouldn't be charged an arm and a leg to diagnose the problem.
Rear tailights have stopped working. Diagnostic by the dealership shows that the connectors in moth rear taillights have melted. I got the dash alert when i first started my vehicle.
HEADLIGHTS KEEP GOING OFF AND ON, L DON'T DRIVE AT NIGHT MOSTLY TILL RECENTLY, L TOOK IT TO TOYOTA DEALER. THEY GAVE ME ESTIMATE ABOUT $600.00 TO FIT IT .CLAIMING, I NEEDS REPLACING HEADLIGHT STALK/SWITCH(FOUND HEADLIGHT STOCK/SWITCH OPEN CIRCUT). THE MILEAGE ON MY CAR JUST 21,103. ALSO, THIS MY 3RD TOYOTA, AND USED THEM MORE THAN TEN YEARS WITH THIS PROBLEM, THIS MUST BE MANUFACTURAL DEFAULT, AND FIND OUT THAT, SOME ARE RE-CALL FOR SOME Camry 2016. PLEASE. SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE ABOUT THIS
I have received warnings on my dash since the vehicle was brand new. Auto stop start continues to malfunction. Parking brake deploys itself and some days the steep won? T turn on and touch screen doesn? T work. Since all this happens while i am driving and not at dealership they insist it doesn? T occur and haven? T repaired even after keeping my vehicle in their shop for the first six months i owned it.
