The contact owns a 2020 acura tlx. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 23v858000 (fuel system, gasoline) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

2013 Acura RDX

There hasn't been a specific incident at this point. I am reporting what appears to be a manufacturing defect with the headlamps on my 2013 Acura RDX. I have owned this car for approximately 9 years and recently (past 6-12 months) noticed having difficulty seeing the road at night. Even worse seeing the road at night when raining. I took this vehicle to my personal mechanic and he suggested that the reflective coating inside the light seems to have dulled or has become corroded. He suggested this should not happen and wondered if Acura was aware of it. I did a brief google search and quickly found I was not the only one who had experienced this issue. I called Acura and opened a case file to see if they were aware or if there was something they could do. Then took to a Acura dealer to have them investigate. The dealer has agreed the reflective coating inside the light was no longer working as intended and may be the cause of the dim lights. They contacted Acura about this and Acura said they would only pay for half because the car was 11 yrs old. I suggested this didn't seem equitable since this definitely a safety issue that is not related to normal maintenance and there was literally nothing I could have done to prevent this. So in my opinion they acknowledged there is a manufacturing defect and refuse to own the problem. I don't believe it's reasonable to expect to have to replace the entire light assembly of a vehicle during the life of that vehicle to keep the lights working properly. Certainly not on a car that is just over 10 years old.

2024 Acura INTEGRA

The steering wheel locks momentarily at cruising speed of 35-45 mph. This results in the need of over or under compensating the steering with extra effort. The steering is generally locked in the same position and it also frequently moves the direction of the vehicle to the point that i fear this is a severe safety issue.

Tailgate window shattered spontaneously while parked in our driveway. There was no force or impact to the glass causing this condition. An insurance claim was filed, and the glass was replaced. However, due to the design of the tailgate, we were informed by safelite, the glass repair company that many of the pieces of glass that fell into the body of the tailgate could not be removed without full removal of the tailgate which is not covered by insurance. The resulting condition is the sound of moving broken glass every time the tailgate opens and closes as well as the tailgate closing button located on the tailgate no longer working. Additionally, at times when closing the tailgate via remote, the tailgate does not fully close.

Rear windsheild glass shattered spontaneously.

The contact owns a 2019 Acura RDX. The contact stated that while entering the vehicle through the driver's side door and then closing the door, the rear tailgate window shattered without impact. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that there was glass in the trunk of the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

My engine makes sounds and possibly there's some shifting noise when i'm not changing gears while driving on the highway. The dealer routinely checks my fluids,so the transmission fluid is fine. I even had a transmission flush after reading an article about this engine. The engine ticks like the rows are sticking. These are all characteristics of the published letter last year recalling hondas and my car year make and model. Please furnish me with a recall letter so i can have this engine fixed before it dies or burns out on the highway causing injury or death

Acura RDX vehicles’ headlights anre extremely dim, to the point where we cannot see the road and where drivers have even described the vehicles as “undrivable” at nighttime.

I have been trying to address the open recall with the dealership i purchased the car from. Bernardi acura of boston. They scheduled the original appointment 4 weeks out and then the day before, they call to reschedule another 8 weeks later. The mechanic stated the repair should be done asap as it is a safety issue. I have been trying to get feedback whether the car is safe to drive and why they are pushing out the appointment, but i have not been given a response. I opened a complaint with acura and the gm of the dealership.
