VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A HIGHWAY. MY 2015 Town and Country WAS NOT EQUIPPED WITH A SPARE TIRE. WE HIT A STONE THAT PUNCTURED THE SIDE WALL OF A FRONT TIRE. THERE WAS NO WAY THE COMPRESSOR PROVIDED WITH THE VEHICLE WOULD INFLATE THE TIRE. THERE NEEDS TO BE A SPARE TIRE IN A VEHICLE. THE FIRST HALF DOZEN CARS I OWNED HAD A FULL SIZE SPARE. SINCE THEN THEY HAD ECONO SPARES (DONUTS). THE LAST TIME I HAD A FLAT, I WAS ABLE TO CHANGE TIRES AND MAKE IT HOME. THE PUNCTURE I ENCOUNTERED THIS TIME HAPPENED 11:00 PM, NO ONE TO GIVE ASSISTANCE. NEAREST TOWING SERVICE WAS 20 MILES AWAY. WHY WAS CAR COMPANIES ALLOWED TO MAKE A SPARE TIRE A $350 OPTION? THE FANCY PUMP THEY PROVIDES THAT COMES WITH A RECHARGE CANISTER COST MORE THAN A SPARE TIRE. YOU PEOPLE REQUIRE SEAT BELTS AND AIR BAGS. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SAFETY SPARE? WHAT WOULD MY WIFE HAVE ONE IF I WASN'T THERE. NO SPARE IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN NO SEAT BELT. DO A SAFETY RECALL AND REQUIRE THE ADDITION OF SAFETY SPARE TIRES. MY WIFE COULD HAVE CHANGED THE TIRE. My car keeps stopping in the middle of traffic. It has been serviced, but what ever the service department is doing its not working. This car is unsafe and as caused danger to my type 1 diabetic husband and myself. The car is now in my drive way. I have been having problems with this since since i purchased it in february 2017, and they never fix the problem. The car jerks and stops and starts when it want to. I have changed the batteries in the remote several times and have taking it to three different places for a diagnosis, and chrysler cant seem to fix the problem when they built the car. I need help. I am still paying on this piece of a car. Everyone that has this car says they car does the same thing. So i know there is a recall for this vehicle. This car has stop and will not start at all.
While driving on expressway from michigan to nebraska car was making loud noises from suspension/tire area and took car into repair shop for inspection before driving any further. Was told that car had 4 blown out struts and front right wheel bearing. They said this was unusual since the car only had around 47,000 miles on it and a newer vehicle for such extensive damage and told must repair as car was unsafe to drive and could cause an accident. Repair was $2,000 for parts that should not have been bad on a car under 50,000 miles. Searching vehicle online and saw that chrysler had recalled 700,000 of the same make/model in 2015 for faulty/defective struts and front wheel bearing. I checked my vin and there were no recalls listed. I find it strange that 700,000 vehicles were recalled for the very same issue we had with our car for the same make, model and year. I called chrysler and they only said my vin did not have any recalls and i could report it on this website. This is not right that our vehicle was not included in the recall as this could have resulted in an accident and also should not be our fault to replace on a newer vehicle if the parts were known to be bad. I have also seen other recalls listed for same year/make/model with transmission which once again our vehicle has symptoms yet not included in this recall either. It seems like an error has been made here and needs to be corrected.
8/31/20-DRIVING ON OUR VACATION FROM FL TO PA ON I-95, I HAD TO EXIT THE INTERSTATE IN FLORENCE SC WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO VIBRATE; CAR WOBBLED AT SLOW SPEED. THE MECHANIC AT THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP SAID A BELT HAD SEPARATED FROM THE LEFT FRONT TIRE (MILEAGE 21,153). 9/8/20-ON MY WAY HOME FROM PA, THE LEFT REAR TIRE HAD TO BE REPLACED (AGAIN, BELT SEPARATION) PER THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IN WILLIAMSBURG (MILEAGE 22,369). 9/13/20-ON THE WAY FROM VA TO DAYTONA BEACH, THE RIGHT REAR TIRE WENT (MILEAGE 23,153). THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IN DAYTONA BCH DID NOT CARRY THE NEXEN TIRE, SO I WENT TO DISCOUNT TIRE STORE AND THEY REPLACED IT WITH A DIFFERENT BRAND. ACCORDING TO INFO I FOUND ON THE INTERNET, CHRYSLER USED NEXEN N'PRIZRH7A TIRES ON THE 2017 Pacifica. THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES FOR TIRES; HOWEVER, THIS COULD BE A GRAVE DANGER IF YOU DO A LOT OF HIGHWAY DRIVING. A BLOWOUT COULD BE DISASTROUS. OTHER DRIVERS OF THE 2017 PACIFICA SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 Chrysler 300. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SUSPENSION AND ALIGNMENT WERE OFF ON THE FRONT AND REAR WHEELS. THE FAILURE CAUSED THE CONTACT TO REPLACE THE TIRES TWICE WITHIN A YEAR DUE TO EXCESSIVE TREADWEAR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TIRES WERE CAMBERED OUT MORE TO THE RIGHT INSTEAD OF STRAIGHT AND FLUSHED WITH THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER MARTY CANCILA DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (2175 N HIGHWAY 67, FLORISSANT, MO 63033, (636) 400-0097) RECOMMENDED AN ALIGNMENT AND A NEW SET OF TIRES. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED YET. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000. *BF *AS
