The rear glass randomly shattered at a stop sign. Nice sunny day in socal 75° and clear. Our safety was not immediately in danger but we couldn’t drive the vehicle. Honda roadside came and towed it to a dealership close to our house. It was approved by the “claim adjuster” and repaired about 3 business days later. Very scary.
My van has been having increasingly frequent speed control problems. When attempting to pull out from a stop, the gas pedal will become unresponsive. Then, i will press the gas pedal harder and the vehicle will burn rubber. This happens intermittently, but at least 3-4 times a week. The most dramatic example of this happened, yesterday, while i was trying to make a left turn cross two lanes of traffic with children in my vehicle. I lightly pressed the gas, rolled out into the intersection, lost gas pedal response. I pressed the pedal hard to attempt to move out of path of oncoming traffic where i was stalled. The car burned rubber, then immediately lost gas pedal response again. I had to again press the gas pedal and burn rubber a 2nd time to get out of the way of oncoming traffic. Losing all gas pedal response while oncoming traffic is approaching is terrifying. I have already attempted to have this repaired several by honda at a dealership. They applied a software update but the problem has not resolved.
My back windshield shattered with out any impact when the car was parked. And it exploded when i was driving!
Roof molding front end cap loses causing to fly off while driving hood is loose and lifting while driving
Transmission, radio, and automatic braking system. Transmission lags when going slow. From a stop on a hill, the car did not accelerate when the gas pedal was pushed, almost causing a crash as i merged into oncoming traffic. It felt like it did not go into gear properly or was not recognizing the gears. Dealership advised it was the design of the transmission and not something they can fix. Auto brake sensors pick up cars that are not there, braking while driving. Especially noticeable on windy roads, though it has started to happen at stop lights. Radio has static and flashes white when operating with bluetooth connection (android product). Dealership recognizes and was able to replicate the sluggish feeling at low speeds, attempted to fix stereo (didn't work), and did not replicate the slow accelerate from a hill, but stated that there are issues with the transmission design.
My car technician found that my car has leaking problems, and is burning engine oil for a long time which means the engine oil leaking from the engine that might cause fire or damage engine and cause serious engine failure and this is a serious safety concern. I heard this is a common problem for honda cars. Please advise to recall the vehicles with this problem. Thank you very much.
The contact owns a 2017 Honda Fit. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 MPH the instrument cluster began to flicker. The contact stated that the speedometer, gas gauge and other indicators were moving from their "zero points" up and back to zero. The contact stated that the failure had become recurring and happened at any speed. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the clutch gauge needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 102,000.
The wiper fluid is delayed, making the fluid not make it on windshield and all go to the side window. It works when stopped but when driving the fluid goes to the side od windshield and the driver side gets zero fluid and the passanger side gets dry and streaky. Very poor design. Reddit group concerns as well
Winter 2022 the problem occurred after icy conditions in texas and abs, traction control and steering system lights came on in my gage cluster, since then i have tried many things to fix the issue went as far as replacing the knuckle full assembly with abs speed sensor. Later i search across the internet of honda owners and noticed its a common issue and a very expensive 1, my local honda quoted $2800 for the part. My safety has been compromised on many occasions including brakes locking during wet conditions, my car slipped out of control because of the lack of traction control nearly causing a bad accident. I have been driving extremely cautiously, and during wet conditions driving my other vehicle. Due to the abs/vsa module malfunction there are so many components attached to the system including tpms, srs, steering system, and including but not limited to abs, currently all these lights are on in my dashboard please investigate this common issue that many honda owners experienced and after further research many youtubers opened module to discover a lot of circuit to selinoid issues, please help us make honda accountable for there mistakes and faulty parts that are so expensive and cheaply made, that may or have caused so many americans hardship and financial repercussions. I shall be very tahnkful.
The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the Forward Collision Avoidance: Emergency Automatic Braking feature activated without any other vehicles being nearby. The brake warning light was illuminated. On another occasion while driving on the roadway, the feature again activated erroneously. The contact believed that the failure was due to the steel plates on the roadway. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 178,000. The VIN was not available.
