I was driving my honda crv on a 4 lane highway (2 lanes in each direction) on a clear and sunny day (4/22/24) at approximately 45-50 mph. I had no traffic ahead of me, but cars behind me, when my vehicle slammed on its brakes and dropped my speed to approximately 5 mph. I did hear the beep and saw the "brake" warning statement on my dash display. It released the brakes after the decrease in speed (to approximately 5 mph) and i continued to drive home without any further problems. I'm very fortunate that i didn't get rear ended. I phoned my honda service adviser and made her aware of the problem (west herr honda of lockport, ny). My vehicle is in excellent condition and has never been in any accidents.

On 4/24/2024 at 12:05pm with my wife in the my new honda accord. I was traveling between 30 and 40 mph with nothing in front of me the aeb activated bringing the car to a complete stop. Nothing lit up on the dashboard at the time of activation. Since this car is brand new and only has 550 miles on it i am very concerned for my safety. If there was a car in back of me it would have caused a rear end collision. I took this vehicle immediately to crown honda in saint petersburg florida to be assessed.

The vehicle does not restart after entering 'auto idle stop' even with latest software update by honda. About 2 month ago, my car started to act weird and stopped restarting during traffic stops, causing dangerous situations. (i was waiting in the intersection to make left turn and the vehicle was stopped in the middle) i went to honda dealership for repair, and they explained that its known issue and can be solved by software update. They promised that it won't happen again, but starting few days ago, it is doing it again. I went to the dealership again, and they are now saying that they have to replace the starter. I don't think it is a safe approach to let customer "test" the software and replace problematic part depending on the test outcome. I feel like honda should update the software and replace starter.

Subject: urgent complaint regarding honda crv fuel injector issue dear national highway traffic safety administration (nhtsa) team, i am writing to urgently report a safety concern regarding my honda crv, and to request a recall and replacement of the fuel injector system. Recently, my honda crv experienced a series of warning lights illuminated on the dashboard display. Upon diagnostic examination at an authorized honda dealership, it was determined that the issue stems from a malfunctioning fuel injector. Prior to this diagnosis, my vehicle was involved in two alarming incidents where its speed became uncontrollable, despite my efforts to apply the accelerator pedal. The first incident fortunately did not result in an accident due to sparse traffic conditions. However, during the second incident, the vehicle behind me was forced to perform an emergency brake maneuver, narrowly averting a potentially catastrophic collision. These incidents highlight a critical safety hazard that poses a significant risk to both myself and other road users. As a concerned member of the community, i strongly urge nhtsa to initiate a recall of all affected honda crv vehicles and implement a comprehensive replacement program for the fuel injector system. Addressing this issue promptly is crucial to preventing future accidents and ensuring the safety of drivers and passengers. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I eagerly await your swift action and resolution of this pressing concern. Sincerely, one of the crv owners
