The daytime and headlights lights will turn off randomly. (started around the 100k mileage). When stationary, the sliding doors do not shut correctly. 1st the driver's side door begins rattling like change is inside the door. 2nd then the door begins taking 2 turns to close, and then it is hit or miss when closing. The door closure button will occasionally not work, regardless of whether the car is off and parked. (started around the 45000 mileage). The driver's side seat belt connector occasionally indicates a fault error. Also the passenger side seat belt indicator will turn on when 5 pounds or less is in the passenger seat. (started around the 100k mileage). My biggest concern: since i believe the side doors are fatal accidents waiting to happen, i have my kids sit in the 3rd row. Only adults are allowed to sit in my passenger captain chairs. The blind spot warning does not work consistently.
I was in a car accident as i was driving on i65 and my air bags did not deploy and my seat belt didn? T lock up
I was driving down a highway during the summer where the outside temperature was 95 degrees. The seat belt light down there by the console came on. It stayed on for five minutes until i was able to park the vehicle and turn it off, then turn it back on again. It happens again less than a year later. This time the light came on three times in ten minutes. The outside temperature was again 95 degrees. I did take it to a dealership and they were not able to duplicate the conditions to see if it would do it again.
ON 7/25/2020, MY 2019 Kia Sorento HAD COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE, FOR THE THIRD TIME IN 4 MONTHS. I TOOK MY SORENTO TO MY DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT WHERE I WAS TOLD THAT THE PROBLEM WAS A "DEFORMED BOOSTER BRAKES VACUUM HOSE"WHICH THEY REPLACED (2 DAYS IN THE SHOP MARCH 23RD TOO MUCH 25TH). ON JULY 13, 2020 IT HAPPENED AGAIN AND THE CAR WAS BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT, FOR THE SECOND TIME. A WEEK LATER(JULY 25TH) THEY CALL TO ME TO PICK UP THE CAR. THE SERVICE MANAGER INFORMED ME THAT THEY HAD REPLACE THE HOST WITH AN UPDATED VACUUM HOSE, AND THAT KIA COOPERATION ENGINEERS WERE AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM. ON SATURDAY 5 DAYS AFTER HAVING THE VEHICLE BACK FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, THE BRAKES FAILED AGAIN COMPLETELY WHILE I WAS DRIVING, WHICH RESULTED IN A ACCIDENT. MY INSURANCE COMPANY IS CALLING IT A TOTAL LOST. MY CAR IS A LEASE WITH 9,800 MILES ONLY.I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR 1 YEAR ONLY. MY WAS NOT THE ONLY KIA SORENTO BROUGHT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
