The car was stalled and wouldn’t go without warning and no indication issues were present. When it stalled driver put at risk of being hit and caused multiple cars to swerve to miss the car. Thankfully able to get the car off the road and toed. Transmission completely failed.
Window child locks randomly locks windows in position. There's no reason for it to lock them. I've never tried to engage them on purpose since i have no children. Sometimes pushing the child lock hard several times will allow them to unlock but it may lock in that position so i really can't use 3 windows.
2013 Nissan Sentra that I bought brand new in 2014 with only about 15 miles on it. December 2024 In the middle of traffic the vehicle would not accelerate forward, even when almost flooring the gas pedal. This would only Rev up the engine as if I was in park. I was able to drive in reverse to a park in a lot next to where the vehicle stalled. There were not any warning lights at anytime prior to the incident. The mechanic did take a look at it and believed it was a transmission issue. The first time this happened was about 2018 with the same type of scenario. The transmission was replaced $4000+ later by Nissan but when they gave the car back the AC did not work and I had to replace the compressor. They denied any wrong doing at the Nissan dealership but it was fine before I dropped it off except the transmission.
When I started the car it sounded like the engine was clicking. I turned it off thinking it may have been from the cold. After restarting the car, the sound did not start again. About 10 minutes into my drive, it started to feel like the the car was shaking each time I braked. About 5 minutes later, it felt like the car was fighting me to accelerate. After I stopped at a red light, it would not accelerate past 20 mph and started dropping as I pulled to the side of the road. It would not accelerate but I could hear the engine revving. No service engine light came on, or any other light. I turned off the car and called AAA to have my car towed to the dealership I purchased the car (Piazza Nissan). They did a diagnosis on the car which gave the diagnostic of P2859 and P0746. Upon searching these codes, a recall for Nissan Sentra with manufacture dates of 2013-2017 came up stating CVT judder and transmission issues. I called the dealer to ask about this recall, since they told me I need a new transmission with the cost of $6640.87. I was told the recall (Classification #AT19-011, NTB #NTB19-075 https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10167397-0001.pdf) for this expired in 2022. When asked why I never received a notice about this recall, I was informed they are sent by VIN. When I checked my VIN, no active recalls came up. Clearly, my car is experiencing the same issues as this recall and my vehicle (2015 Nissan Sentra) was manufactured in that time frame. I was lucky I was able to move my vehicle to the side of the road safely without causing as accident. I am deeply annoyed that I was not made aware of this issue that clearly effected my vehicle and could have caused a serious accident had I not been able to pull to the side of the road and thankfully the car behind was not close to me.
Vehicle loses power fails to excellerate while traveling on the freeway cvt transmission is very difficult to work on or check fluids
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Brake light switch how was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Per multiple reports this could cause the car not to start or to indicate to cars that the vehicle is slowing down and preparing to stop has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Back in 2019 i was having this issue and in 2020 took it to a nissan dealership to have it looked into and repaired (unknowingly that there was a recall for this specific issue) were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? After experiencing this years ago i knew what steps needed to be taken in order to have this resolved. This started to happen again on the night of 12/15/24
I put my foot in gas pedal, goes all the way down, won't drive now.

My 2016 Nissan Sentra malfunctioned while driving on the Highway three separate times. The car suddenly lost its ability to accelerate and seemed to power down while becoming more difficult to steer. It seemed to start shuddering and I thought it may have been a front end flat tire. After pulling off the road and putting the car in park, when I waited a minute or two, I placed the car in drive and there was no problem until a month later and it hppended again except on an interstate while driving over a long bridge. Two different Nissan dealers could not diagnose any issues and kind of threw up theirs hands with no suggestions except to bring it in again if it happens once more. The auto has become hazardous to drive for two seniors, and no one seems to be able to diagnose or fix the issues. I read online about Nissan CVT transmission recalls for these Sentras, but never received any recall notifications.
