The liftgate won't open either with the key fob or mannualy every time i have to unhook the battery to reset vehicle was not in motion, opening the hood every time this happens to reset the liftgate is not ideal

I was driving 40 mph when the car automatic stopped and applied the automatic emergency brake (aeb) was applied with no obstacles around on a clear sunny day. The car is brand new with only 1100 miles on it. Car came to a complete stop. I am afraid for my safety and will contact the dealer where i purchased the car first thing monday morning (11/2).

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 Nissan Murano. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V807000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT AT SOMERSWORTH NISSAN (285 NH-108, SOMERSWORTH, NH 03878, (603) 692-5200) AND WAS INFORMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

3 incidences of sudden, immediate automatic braking without obstacles or other cars in front of ours. 10/15/2020: mid day, sunny/dry conditions, residential street. Moving forward from a stationary position and below 10 mph. Car suddenly stopped, loud noise, warning flashed on dash board. No other vehicle or object noted in front of car. 10/20/2020: between 8:00-8:30pm, dry conditions, city street. First car at intersection moving forward from stationary position at green light. While moving through intersection, car suddenly stopped, loud noise, warning flashed on dash board. No other car or object was in front of our car. 10/24/2020: between 7:00-7:30 pm, conditions dry, city street. Again first car at an intersection. From stationary position and at green light moved forward into intersection. While moving through intersection the car came to a sudden, halting stop, loud noise and warning flashed on the dash board. No other car or object was in front of our car. In each of these three incidences the car was in drive, the accelerator was slightly depressed for slow acceleration and for no reason the car automatically, suddenly halted.

WHILE OPERATING MY NISSAN ON A RURAL HIGHWAY I HEARD WHAT I THOUGHT TO BE A GUN SHOT AND FELT GLASS HIT ME. TO MY SURPRISE, THE SUNROOF IN MY 2018 Nissan Murano HAD EXPLODED.

Vehicle infrequently surges when initially pressing down on the gas pedal. Also it happens when driving and pulling up behind vehicles at stop signs or traffic lights. It caused an accident when trying to park in a tight spot. Surge when trying to ease forward caused vehicle to run onto stone wall. Not an accident involving an personal injury but potential is there for a serious accident. Unreliable acceleration is a potentially dangerous issue. A second occasion was in traffic after merging off a freeway. Several cars were waiting at stop sign. As each pulled out we all eased up. When i tried to ease up it surged on me and almost put me into rear of car in front of me.

WE PURCHASED THIS Murano 3/4/2020. IT WAS A DEMO DRIVEN BY THE SALES MANAGER.WE NOTICED THAT WHEN STEPPING ON THE BRAKES THERE IS A GRINDING SOUND. AN SECURE ODOMETER READING WAS NOT ATTACHED TO THE CONTRACT SO WE DO NOT KNOW HOW MANY MILES THE SALES MANAGER DROVE THE CAR.THIS IS A FEDERAL OFFENSE WITH A FINE UP TO $10,000 FOR PINNACLE NISSAN TO NOT SUPPLY US WITH A SECURE ODOMETER READING. WE ARE SENIOR CITIZENS, I AM 73 AND MY HUSBAND IS 86. WE LIVE APPROXIMATELY 120 MILES FROM THE DEALERSHIP. WE WILL NOT DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE IT COULD BE FATAL TO OUR LIVES. WE HAVE TRIED CONTACTING THE GENERAL MANAGER AND HE DOES NOT RETURN OUR CALLS. WE FINALLY DECIDED TO HIRE AND ATTORNEY. THEY ALSO BAITED AND SWITCHED THE PRICE OF THE CAR. PACKED THE INVOICE, AND TREATED US WITH DISRESPECT. ING ON THE BRAKES THERE WAS A GRINDING NOISE. THE CAR WAS IN MOTION. I took my car in for service, including tire rotation. When i got home, i noticed that 2 lug nuts looked like they were missing. I have had many issues with dealership before and going back at the time to get fixed was inconvenient, i did not know the possible consequences of issues. I took car back in today for service and the service advisor told me i had 2 broken wheel studs, this could have caused my tire to fall off. In the repair paperwork, they only wrote they replaced lug nuts. The issue is whether missing lug nuts or broken wheel studs, they should have never let me drive off that lot with a tire issue that could have caused a major accident and caused my life.

For the second time my front collision braking system sensor has come on and disengaged my cruise control while i have been traveling at a high rate of speed on the highway. Dealership has confirmed this code when taken into shop. This could cause the car to brake suddenly while driving. Nissan has not issued a recall. I have been quoted over $1200. 00 to fix. This has been reported on many occasions. Why hasn't a recall been issued? I am now afraid to drive my vehicle with this faulty sensor.

The driver side seat belt does not want to snap into the belt holder which has the red button you push to release it, i have checked every time for any obstruction and nothing is there, it does finally lock into the spot after about 10 times of trying this just started happening 2 weeks ago, the car is not that old to be having seat belt problems like that. It does not matter what time of day it does it regardless and only when putting it on, it releases just fine just when putting it on it will not latch. Just let me know if you need me to do a video of it i never made a video of this happening.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 Nissan Murano. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED, THE TRACTION CONTROL AND COLLISION MITIGATION WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING ENGAGED AND THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS DISENGAGED. THE CONTACT HAD TO DEPRESS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL FOR THE VEHICLE TO RESUME NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NISSAN OF NORTH OLMSTED (28500 LORAIN RD, NORTH OLMSTED, OH 44070) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE DISTANCE SENSOR WAS DEFECTIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 79,000.

Android auto system randomly crashes or freezes when navigating with google maps. As a result we are left scrambling while driving to disconnect and reconnect our phone to reset the system, or to change usb phone settings to properly reconnect the our phone to android auto, causing a dangerous distraction from the road. Sometimes reconnecting the phone does not work causing a repeat of the effort and causing further driving distraction. I have repeatedly attempted to get the nissan dealer to repair the problem but they deny there is an issue.

THE FORWARD EMERGENCY BRAKING IS GETTING FALSE TRIGGERS AND DISABLES ITSELF AFTER SUCH INCIDENT. MANY TIMES TRIGGERS WITHOUT ANYTHING IN FRONT OF VEHICLE. HAS ALSO APPLIED BRAKES ON ONE OCCASION WHEN THERE WAS NO VEHICLE OR PEDESTRIAN IN FRONT OF VEHICLE. THE FEB SENSOR WAS UPDATED IN 2019 WITH A NEW PART THAT DOES NOT SEND FALSE TRIGGERS. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH MuranoS FROM 2015-2018. THIS SAFETY FEATURE IS ONE OF THE REASONS WE BOUGHT THIS CAR AND NOW THAT FEATURE IS NOT RELIABLE. I THINK NISSAN SHOULD SUPPLY UPDATED PART AND LET CUSTOMER PAY LABOR TO HAVE THIS SAFETY FEATURE BE MORE RELIABLE.

THE RECALL SERVICE WAS PERFORMED AS PROMISED. I DO HAVE TO ADD THOUGH THAT SHORTLY AFTER HAVING PICKED THE CAR UP, THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING WARNING LIGHT STARTED TO GO OFF OCCASIONALLY AFTER NORMALLY APPLYING THE BRAKES. THEN THE LIGHT WOULD GO ON AT RANDOM TIMES WITHOUT HAVING APPLIED THE BRAKES. I RETURNED THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY MENTIONED THAT IT WAS PROBABLY A COINCIDENT THAT THIS HAPPENED. I THOUGHT THAT THIS WAS SUSPECT THOUGH AS I NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES WITH THE LIGHT AND THE SYSTEM PRIOR TO BRINGING THE CAR IN FOR THE ABS MODULE RECALL. I STILL FEEL THAT SOMETHING WAS TWEAKED OR THE SYSTEM'S FAILURE WAS EXACERBATED BY HAVING HAD WORK PERFORMED ON IT, DESPITE THE ABS MODULE BEING LOCATED ON THE FIREWALL AND THE AEB SENSOR LOCATED IN THE FRONT GRILL. I ALSO HAVE SEEN ON THE INTERNET THAT 2015,2016,2017 AND 2018 MODEL YEAR ROGUES,ROGUE SPORT, MuranoS, ALTIMAS, MAXIMAS, LEAFS, SENTRAS, ARMADA'S AND PATHFINDERS HAVE ALL BEEN IMPACTED BY AEB ISSUES. THE MOST DANGEROUS, WHEN THE VEHICLE GOES INTO AEB MODE FOR NO REASON AND APPLIES THE BRAKES. THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IN PROCESS NOW AND SOME TSB'S THAT YOU HAVE ISSUED FOR FIXES. I HAVE OWNED OR OWN 4 NISSANS SINCE 2010...A 2010 NISSAN SENTRA WHICH WAS RECENTLY REPLACED BY A 2019 NISSAN SENTRA AND MY 2015 MURANO WHICH REPLACED MY 2011 INFINIT G7XS. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY MAJOR SERVICE ISSUES WITH ANY OF THEM WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THIS MOST RECENT $1006.62 REPAIR WHICH THE DEALER SAID WOULD NOT BE COVERED AS IT WAS INCIDENTAL TO THE RECALL REPAIR. I FEEL THE ONUS IS ON NISSAN TO REIMBURSE ME FOR THIS REPAIR AS THERE IS ENDLESS PROOF ON THE INTERNET THAT THIS FEATURE HAS AND WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE PROBLEMS FOR THE ABOVE VEHICLES IT WAS INSTALLED ON. The emergency braking system shuts off with no warning and in turn deactivates the adaptive cruise control. This has happened several times and the last occurrence happened on a two lane highway in clear weather conditions with an 18-wheeler following in close proximity. When i brought the vehicle to the mechanic at the dealership, the code showed that the distance sensor? Must be replaced? Because it was out-of-date. When i asked the manufacturer of the car to pay for the replacement, they refused. I have dealt with four people at the corporate office and they refuse to pay the $1400 to replace the faulty factory original part. Also note, i have replaced the transmission two times in 9 months on this vehicle and those were covered under the certified pre-owned warranty. I am beginning to suspect i have a lemon.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE IN THE PASSENGER?S SIDE LANE, THE FORWARD COLLISION AUTOMATIC BRAKING FEATURE ACTIVATED WITH AN AUDIBLE ALARM. THE FAILURES RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TWO SEPARATE DEALERS INCLUDING THE HEADQUARTER NISSAN DEALER LOCATED AT 1725 WHITTLESEY RD, COLUMBUS, GA 31904, WHERE THE TECHNICIANS FROM BOTH DEALERS REPLACED ALL THE SENSORS. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE THREE TIMES AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD BE BOUGHT BACK HOWEVER, THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE HEADQUARTER NISSAN DEALER INTERVENED, STATING THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AND THAT THERE WAS NO NEED FOR A BUY BACK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 4,500.*DT
