Abs/hcu are faulty causing abs and traction control systems to not function causing hazardous conditions while driving
The car autopilot system does very hard brakes when coming to stop at red lights ( when there is a car in front of it) very unsafe. Also while driving in the street or freeway, mostly when passing under a bridge, all of a sudden the car pushes brake automatically which is truly dangerous and unsafe. Also when the auto pilot is on it, disengages whenever close to a curb or anything else and you have to take over control very last second to avoid any accidents. This is a safety issues. Safety issue. Please fix. I took the car to dealership and both times they say it’s something called phantom braking and that they wouldn’t be able to fix the issue.
Our brakes failed coming down a steep hill. We missed hitting a car by passing in the wrong lane. We had to cross a road across two lanes which fortunately had no cars on it where we crossed. We were able to get some braking once we got on level ground. We took the car to honda and they told us the problem was a broken break switch. It is currently at salem honda in salem, oregon awaiting parts. We were told that the repair may not be covered by warranty. We were also told that if we did not get the brake fluid replaced, the car warranty would be void. We now are being charged about $2000 to get some fluids replaced that are supposed to be replaced at 30,000 miles according to the honda dealer.
Air bags failed. It is available. Lukily i'm safe. I don'nt know. No one inspected the vehicle, except the police at the incident location. No warning lamps observed prior to the incident.
The car was parked on street and when i go inside the car and try to start car first on my tesla screen show alert 7 error after that couple minutes the front passenger airbag is deployed for nor reason i want to let you know the car it’s not involved any accidents or any impact
Master light came on and had me sign power of attorney papers and no lawyer or notary was present
In five years i have had my windshield chip or crack four times. Replacement is a pain and expensive. It seems the design is far too susceptible to breakage and is unsafe.
Dear national highway transportation safety administration, i am writing to bring to your attention a grave safety concern regarding my 2019 kia optima sx. Despite diligent maintenance and care, my vehicle has experienced persistent alignment issues, particularly on the right side. Additionally, i have encountered premature axle shaft and axle boot failures, all of which have occurred well before reaching 60,000 miles. These issues have not only posed a significant financial burden but have also jeopardized the safety of myself and other road users. The repeated alignment problems have resulted in the rapid deterioration of tires, leading to baldness within a month of replacement, creating a hazardous driving condition and increasing the risk of accidents. The premature failure of axle shafts and boots is unacceptable for a vehicle of this age and mileage. Such failures not only compromise the vehicle’s performance but also raise serious concerns about the overall quality and safety standards of the kia optima sx. I urge the national highway transportation safety administration to conduct a thorough investigation into these recurring issues affecting the 2019 kia optima sx model. Immediate action is necessary to ensure the safety of consumers and to hold kia accountable for any design or manufacturing defects contributing to these alarming problems. Your swift attention to this matter is crucial in preventing potential accidents and ensuring the well-being of motorists nationwide.
Dear national highway transportation safety administration, i am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction and concern regarding the goodyear assurance weather ready tires, size 235/45r18, installed on my 2019 kia optima sx. These tires have proven to be defective, failing to meet the standards of safety and durability promised by goodyear. I would like goodyear to refund for the defective tires! Despite being well within the mileage limit of the 60,000-mile warranty, goodyear has refused to stand by their product. Instead, they have absurdly attempted to shift the blame onto me, suggesting that frequent alignments are necessary at every oil change. This is not only an inconvenience but also an unjustifiable expense for a supposedly high-quality product. I have diligently maintained my vehicle and have documentation to support the fact that the tires are defective. However, goodyear has shown a complete disregard for customer satisfaction and safety by failing to address this issue adequately. I urge the national highway transportation safety administration to investigate this matter promptly and take appropriate action against goodyear for their negligence and failure to uphold their warranty obligations. Plus to have the tires taken off the market as they put myself and my families lives at risk. Consumers deserve better than to be burdened with faulty products and dismissive customer service.
I discovered this safety recall nov. 2023. The recall was opened 2/2023. I found an article in car and driver from 2/2021 that described this issue. Jeep leased me this vehicle even though the defect was already known. I am 3 years into a 4 year lease. Because of this inactivity is solving this recall (and a bad case of "death wobbles) i want to terminate this lease without penalty. I just want to get rid of this unsafe vehicle.
