"service abs" and "traction control" warnings (and audible bell) coming on intermittently. Rough road surface doesn't cause it to happen more frequently, nor does speed of the vehicle (happens when still, in park, in drive, any speed). May happen several times in 30 minutes of driving, may not happen at all. I have not noticed a difference in braking or traction performance since this started.
When coming to a rolling stop, or a stop where the vehicle just briefly stops moving, the press on the accelerator, the vehicle hesitates for a moment, sometimes 1-2 seconds. This behavior is repeatable. In regular driving such as making a quick left turn after slowing to a near stop or a right turn immediately after coming to a stop at a light or stop sign, this behavior is dangerous as the driver expects and immediate response. Taken to dealer. Official write up claims they were unable to duplicate, however texts with the service advisor say they repeated this behavior with multiple trucks.
Purge control valve but pressure in my gas tank and it has expanded. Kia will not replace my tank. Heard 2 loud bangs going down the road i started smelling gas. Check engine light came on. Pulled over and gas is pushing up and out behind my tank flowing down my wheel well. Opened the gas cap and it sprayed gas all over me. I have 2 small children and this could have been a extremely worse situation than it was. On another note i took my car to the dealership they did the update and confirmed my gas tank had expanded. They are not replacing my tank they said bc kia has "no remedy". And tried to sell me a bunch of other services on my vehicle instead. I've contacted kia and they basically told me the same thing they at this time will not be replacing my tank. I've picked the car up they cleared the codes and the car is still running rough.
The panoramic sunroof hinges on my vehicle snapped and a part of the assembly fell and hit me in the head while i was driving.
1. Engine power failure 2. Put in extreme danger-i lost all power going through a tunnel under water (mm bridge tunnel). I completely stalleddead center in the middle. Only by the grace of god did no one hit me. I also have severe neck issues. A couple of my neck discs need to be replaced. If i were hit i could have been paralyzed. This has created emotional and financial anxiety as well as poor sleep due to tense muscles and body aches. 3. It has almost cut off twice since then. A mechanic did a deep check of all electrical systems, they are fine. He said it was an engine power drain issue. He said according to research it was a known engine problem. 4. Dealer said my vin # is not on the list (even though it's a known problem) and stated i would have to pay for check and repairs. I saw there was a case settlement and am hoping that will cover the cost. The was no police report even though they pulled up to protect me. The van eventually started again and i moved to a safe location. Dodd's auto shop did evaluation. 5. I noticed an engine light before stall. I'm not sure how long it had been on. My van has a security video but i'm not sure how to get it. My husband is out of town caring for his 96yr old father so he couldn't get it for me.
My Rogue has randomly just gave me a warning and slammed on my breaks without an obstacle in site. Now the malfunction light keeps coming on. This is starting to get very frustrating. I have on this car for 3 years. It only had 19000 miles on it when purchased. It now has 81000. I am afraid this is going to cause a fatal accident.
The passenger seat sensor does not work anymore. So the passenger side airbag does not register anyone in the seat and is always turned off. The passenger side air bag will not fire if there is a crash. Confirmed by mechanic, the sensor failed and need to replace the entire seat to make it work. The light is showing that the airbag is off even when someone sits in the seat. Not sure how long ago this started.
I was notified over a year ago of a manufacturer defect in the airbag of my 2016 Chevrolet Traverse that could potentially cause the airbag to explode when deployed. There have been incidents of people dying from this defect, yet no fix is available more than a year later.
Steering wheel became loose. Within a week i took it into a ford dealer who confirmed this was a serious safety concern. They worked on the problem a day later. Steering wheel bolt was damaged and would not retain torque. The steering wheel bolt was replaced by dealer.
The winshield side moulding is coming off. I got a letter and went to the dealer. They said they couldn’t do anything about it. The left side molding is almost coming off.
