While driving i started to notice my rpm increasing and my acceleration decreasing. I have stayed up to date and proactive on maintenance. At 110000 miles my transmission has started to have gear slips, my rpms increase and my car will randomly lose the ability to accelerate at random times leaving me vulnerable to an accident car crash.
Gm still does not have a remedy for the open recall of my vehicle but has determined that it is unsafe. I called today to several gmc/buick dealers as well as the manufacturer. They refuse to provide a timeline of when any remedy will be available. It has been more than 11 months and i am afraid that something bad will happen as my vehicle has been deemed unsafe. Is there a way to request payment for my vehicle or even an equivalent replacement as a repair is not available and has no timeline? I do not want to continue driving an unsafe vehicle. Antifreeze is leaking into the engine and now the engine needs replaced. Ford is aware of faulty 2. 0 turbo engines but has not recalled it. I bought an extended warranty and they won't cover it. I have been a ford guy my whole life but that will change because ford knows about the issue but won't do anything about it.
So there have already been recalls on some audis for oil consumption. I have a 2011 audi a4 quattro and it goes through oil like crazy. It's ridiculous i believe it's because of faulty piston rings which led to faulty head gasket witch leads to the spark plugs, and coils.
The car will shuttle between 1700-2500 RPMs while in low gears. In reviewing online (NHTSA) it should be a software update. I went to get the update for $400. After the update was applied the service center stated the software update did nothing. From the service center: The issue is internal. With the updates it did not chance the outcome, the transmission would need to be replaced to fix the concern. The quoted me the replacement transmission and cooler at just shy of $10k. This car is barely worth that in good working condition. The car drives, it just shutters, I would not drive it more than 10 miles. There are no warning lights. The ECG was recently replaced $1500 and the Ford facility did nothing to fix the transmission. I have called three facilities in my area, and ALL OF THEM say there is a 3-4 week timeline just to assess the problem. I had to take it to a transmission specialist to assess. Ford is avoiding this problem. How many 2019 Ford Edge owners need to report this issue so that something can be done?
The horn button is too small and in a non-standard location that makes it difficult to reliably locate and push it when it is needed. Several times i have tried to locate the horn to avoid an accident or alert other drivers i am nearby, but i cannot locate or hit the small button in time. I have had to swerve out of my lane several times because of this. Fortunately, no cars have been behind me in the new lanes, but how much longer can i rely on that?
The horn on the model x is a tiny button on the steering wheel. This is a safety issue and not instinctual in the event of an emergency.
3rd brake light randomly goes dim online thousands of people have the same issue, it needs to be a recall. Light diodes are getting bad and the other half are cracking from the heat of the window. Chevy changed the like to the trunk lid. Seems suspicious to me. Chevy needs to make it right. Its federal law to have a 3rd brake light.
When coming to a stop light, car occasionally shuts off engine completely. Needing car to be put in park and to push start button to restart car. It is not the automatic stop/start technology. Sometimes happend back to back and leaving us dead in traffic for a few seconds.
