When driving the car it will stop mid drive and slow to 20mph. The car has broken down in the middle of the road on multiple occasions. It has locked me in the car where i am unable to get out. On one occasion the battery was dead and the car had locked me out. I had to have someone unlock it. The next day the car was fine with no signs of issues. The car has been taken to multiple mechanics and no one knows the issue. Car doesn’t throw any codes or show any symptoms of issues.

When you shift the car into park and you get a "shift to park" alert on your dashboard. It makes it very hard to shut off the vehicle.

Vehicle occasionally hesitates to accelerate past 1st or 2nd gear & produces no power until the turbo & gears finally kick in. Has put myself & my passengers (my children) in danger of traffic’s way while trying to merge into traffic from a stop. Have had to pull to the side until the car is able to go past 5-15 miles per hr. Have taken the vehicle for inspection to chevrolet of watsonville & the tech there was unable to replicate the issue & was told to take it back when present. The issue recently happened again late evening but then resolved on its own when i planned to take the following morning. The vehicle has horrible mpg ranging from 18-24mpg when the rated mpg is 27-36mpg. I don’t understand how i am supposed to resolve this issue if the problem doesn’t persist when i am able to finally get an appointment for the vehicle to get seen. This issue is very concerning & would like help as i am nearing the manufacturer 100k warranty expiration mileage. Also there are no service lights present on the vehicle.

Shift to park message on dashboard..... After you shift the gear into park position and turn off car, the message comes up "shift to park". Car keeps beeping with message on dashboard saying "shift to park". You do not know why this is coming up and beeping. No matter how many times you put in park and turn off car, this message and beeping noise happens saying your car is not in park position. When you exit the car, the message and beeping continue even after shutting the door. The lights also stay on draining your battery, and you are always left wondering if car is actually in park position. I noticed there are several complaints online concerning this matter with general motors but when you call the chevy dealer they continue to act like the are unaware of this issue..... If anyone wishes to contact me regarding this matter i prefer to be reached by email. Thank you.

  • Failed components: EXTERIOR LIGHTING

Chevy, and many gm vehicles love to illuminate the white “reverse” lights when parked. This is a fundamental departure from what it means when these *white* lights are illuminated, i. E. , the car is in reverse and pedestrians and other vehicles should prepare for the vehicle to back up. However, with the above auto manufacturers, that rule is broken and now there are tens of thousands, or millions of vehicles on the road, and myriad parking lots/garages where these fundamental tenets for the expectation of a potential vehicle behavior has been broken. The notion that this is a “safety” feature to illuminate the area around the vehicle is inherently flawed. Other automobile manufacturers have seemed to fare just fine without this departure of what white lights mean on the back of a vehicle. When something has a long-standing specific meaning (i. E. , i might go in reverse), and then that rule is changed, or augmented in ways that are non-uniform across automobile manufacturers, it renders the original intended purpose to be futile. At what point will somebody become severely injured and/or die because the white lights of a chevy were ignored, and a car, did in fact, go in reverse. Going in reverse is now the exception when white lights illuminate on these cars, not the rule, and this is a terrible “feature” for alerting others about the intended behavior of the vehicle. The nhtsa should clarify the intended purpose of when white (reverse) rights are allowed to illuminate before the meaning of these lights becomes even more degraded.

This has happened on an almost daily basis since 4/30/2024 stabilitrack warning on ipc, security light, power steering goes out on freeway-while turning in an intersection-going 75 on the freeway while changing lanes, ipc displays ice warning when 90• outside, erratic shifting(being stuck in 2nd gear until it shifts to 4th), no start no crank condition ( i replaced the battery, had alternator tested, tested fuses, fuel pressure test, checked spark plugs and coil packs) key fob not unlocking doors or remote starting (battery was changed) passenger seat will only recline on one side, power mirrors erratically moving without user adjustment, climate control sporadically disconnects (no lights in dash no power at all) i have not taken it to a dealership i can’t afford the outrageous prices. I have had my father (certified ford technician) inspect the car. This car has become unsafe for me to drive with my children and i am terrified that it’s going to cause us to wreck and cause serious injury or death

My car keeps saying please put in park, even after the car is parked. If i don’t turn on and off the car multiple times shifting from park to reverse to get it to not say put in park, my lights in my car stay on and the battery will eventually die. Seems electrical, and afraid of it says please put in park, is it really in park if it says that?
