Unknown—my car’s been doing this thing where it feels like the wheels "stick" for a second every so often while driving, but yesterday it was the worst it's been, doing it every few seconds. I thought maybe my gearshift was stuck between gears or something so i tried to make sure it was in drive, but it slipped into neutral for a second, & after that, my check engine light came on & my car started taking forever to get up to speed after coming to a stop—like, i was flooring it & it was crawling. It started doing this while i was in an intersection turn lane, & my car was moving so slow i had to wait for a protected turn & i still barely made it out of the intersection in time. My code reader said it was a transmission issue & there’s a recall on other sparks for the transmission. I had my car towed to my apartment but i haven’t been able to find anybody to come inspect or work on it yet. I sent a message to my local chevy dealer so they could check whether it’s under recall, but i haven’t heard back from them yet. Prior to this, there hadn’t been any warning light or indicators.

My spark's alarm kept going off. They replaced a module, bob mccosh dealer. They also said my radio was bad and had to be replaced. 615$. I said "just disconnect the radio, i don't need it". Problem solved... I thought. When they did disconnected it, i noticed that i lost my "chime"... For seat belt, keys left in ignition and lights left on. They reprogrammed the car to the new module, and the radio was working, and chimes were present. Next day, my battery is dead, because of the radio drained it. I am taking it to the dealer again, after i get a jump. The only option is, to disconnect the radio they said. It's important to me, and i'm sure chevrolet, that these safety features cannot be ignored! I have a 2019 chevy spark after doing research it appears that the spark has a high transmission failure

I feel that there are issues with the transmissions on the 2017 chevy spark. I noticed that there have been complaints in years such as 2014 and 2019. I find that my 2017 exhibits exact same transmission issues as years that came before or after. Lots of indecision with the car about whether to upshift or downshift. Sometimes violent jerking back and forth. Normally. Especially bad between 4th and 5th and 5th and 6th in the upper gears. But in the lower gears more recently it has become more pronounced. This has been going on for quite some time and is getting worse. The car is not that old. First. Noticed it when the car was at 40,000, mi. It is now recently went past 100 and the problem at sometimes is horrible. It does feel unsafe to a high degree. It is a sealed system so there is no way to do routine maintenance, which is unfortunate. I am a person who is usually up on routine maintenance and with a sealed system such as this transmission made by daewoo in korea, there's no way to ensure fluid levels are correct and changed in intervals. I feel like reporting just because it should be checked out. I do not know if this is an issue with other people who have spark 2019, but i wanted to send this out because the car's transmission has aged horribly over a short period of time. If i knew then what i know now i would have never owned the spark. Otherwise a great car. This is my only complaint but a big one.
