Ac compressor seems is out of alignment. Infiniti requires customers to perform technical supply bulletin to align ac compressor at owner expense. If a drive belt breaks will driving it can cause collateral damage to engine components ans pose a safety risk to the passengers. Many vehicles affected.
Ocs passenger seat weight sensor failed. Dealership verified this. They say to repair will be $8000 to replace whole seat. This is a common problem with hundreds of complaints mentioned on online forums. There was a recall for this issue on prior year infiniti models but that recall doesn’t include newer than 2016. Infiniti refuses to replace under warranty. (they replaced the driver seatbelt retractor assembly under warranty, but won’t repair the airbag issue). The weight sensor does not register that someone is sitting in the seat.
Airbag occupant sensor for passenger seat ceased to function. "passenger airbag off" indicator light remains on even with passenger in seat. Check airbag light in dash remains lit. Took car to infiniti dealership to diagnose. They quoted $8000 repair price to replace entire seat frame. They claim the sensor is built into the seat frame and individual sensors can not be replaced. The quoted price is more than half the value of the car and is cost prohibitive to repair. I have read many posts where this is a common problem for this car. There was a recall for earlier car models with similar problem but this car is not covered. See infiniti bulletin [xxx]. It is the same problem. I feel unsafe driving this car now but the repair cost is unreasonable and infiniti should not make the repair so expensive as it compromises the safety of the consumer. I was driving down the road heading to work on a regular street, not even the highway or anything. I heard a loud bang like a gun shot and i almost swerved and crashed from how loud it was. I immediately pulled over to see if maybe i ran something over or anything else, when i had noticed my sunroof glass had exploded like completely dismantled from some type of force from the inside. The glass looks pushed out from the inside. I’ve been calling the dealer ship to ask about recalls. I have looked online and their is a whole forum page about other cars that had the same issue and there’s one specific to infiniti models. Please help i just don’t want to fix it right now and have it keep on happening if it’s some type of manufacturing defect
