Manufacturer has recall dated dec 20,2023. After several attempt with dealership for fixing the recall still waiting as of now for remedy to be available.
I had my vehicle serviced at westside lexus on march 20, 2024. My vehicle, a 2022 lexus 300h f sport, was brought in for 20,000-mile service, and not only has the issue not been resolved, but it has also led to a dangerous situation that could have resulted in serious and potentially fatal harm. To elaborate, after the service, i noticed that the car did not drive as smoothly nor sound as quiet as normal for my hybrid vehicle. I also heard noise as i entered/exited the driveway, drove over speed bumps, backed up, and exited the vehicle. This noise was similar to my experience after a prior service appointment when i noticed on the highway that my rear passenger tire was wobbly, posing a significant risk to my family’s safety and that of others on the road. As with my previous experience, i heard more noise and what sounded like loose parts after a few weeks. When i checked, my rear passenger tire was loose again. As a 15-year toyota owner, i trusted lexus for its reputation for safety, dependability, quality, and customer care, but this experience has shaken my confidence in your brand. For each service appointment, i consent to the recommended services. It is unacceptable for a lexus service center to return a vehicle in a condition that is unsafe to drive. Here are the details of my service visit: · service date: march 20, 2024 · work order number: 687595 · vehicle mileage: 20,105 · description of service performed: 20,000-mile service and four-wheel alignment upon discovering the issue and having lexus roadside assistance tow the vehicle back to the dealership.
I recently bought this vehicle and the drivers seat height does not raise approropriately. I have brought it to the dealership for them to take a look and they say that’s how it’s designed however the passenger seat height goes much higher. I called lexus corporate who mentioned there is nothing they can do. I have driven the lx and rx models that do not have this issue. This vehicle is only 1 year old and i believe this is a safety concern. I am unable to see above the hood of the car and i am 5’2”.
Brake actuator defective
The contact owns a 2024 lexus es300h. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed that the driver's side air bag cover was detached. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The vehicle was scheduled for inspection on the following day. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,072.
The brake booster and pump are a known issue for all ct200 models 2011-2013. The brakes do not work as intended which is a safety issue. The attached file is acknowledgement by lexus that this is an issue. Though they are not covering the problem
First, we are a victim of fraud and scam and are distressed since day one and loss of thousands of dollars. After searching and reviews, we bought a 2015 lexus rx350 for family use from a seller who had owned this vehicle for over five years but the seller never disclosed and represented in the sale of this vehicle that it was rebuilt and had engine front cover timing gasket leak! They said it was clean title and didn’t have any issues. Plus the blind spot sensors had issues. The same day these problems were recovered after we bought it and from the same first day we tried to return the vehicle and used all other option legally from day one till now to resolve it with the seller, but they didn’t want to resolve neither return it or fix the problems with vehicle but they kept denying. Vehicle been sitting in parking lot since the first day of bought and never able to register and it’s been over 8 months. Also found out, these year models like mine 2015 rx350 timing cover leak were common problem back then. I’m desperately asking to issue a fix remedy by lexus or toyota therefore, please help with this.. Thanks in advance!
A prevalent issue observed in the lexus ct200h and toyota prius v models is the internal leakage of brake accumulators, as they utilize identical part numbers. Consequently, the actuator emits a buzzing sound intermittently as it attempts to maintain the necessary gas pressure within the braking system, ultimately failing due to the leak. Numerous articles addressing this concern are available online, highlighting its significance as a safety issue. Many owners have successfully had toyota replace the faulty part at no cost, thanks to the extended warranty covering a period of ten years or 150,000 miles, whichever occurs first. This may be attributed to the higher prevalence of prius vehicles on the road compared to the less common lexus ct200h. A simple search for "c1391 danger" will yield substantial information on the topic. It is disheartening, in my view and that of many others, that a problem posing a risk to public safety due to brake failure has not been adequately addressed. The sudden onset of this issue significantly reduces stopping distances. When it occurs, warning lights for abs, traction control, and brakes illuminate simultaneously. Notably, there are no visible brake fluid leaks associated with this actuator. While toyota provides coverage under the extended warranty, it appears that lexus may not offer similar support, raising concerns about the safety implications discussed across various platforms.
