First lexus i have ever owned and prob last. I am very disappointed in the paint quality of there cars. I have sustained so many rock chips and scratches from normal driving , no tailgating, or following to closely. Surprised how bad the paint is able to hold. The chips go straight through the paint to the black plastic underneath. My bumper looks like swiss cheese. I was told by the dealer the design of the car requires it to be ppf. I would have done it if they told me before i drove it 13k.
Codes p219c & p0301 have continuously came on , these lights mil have made the vehicle go from awd to 2 wheel drive while in motion. [xxx] vehicle was taken to bay ridge lexus. In brooklyn ny. They over looked this issue and stated it was something else. This has been confirmed via multiple diagnostics machines. Lexus of edison has also decided not to cover this repair under warranty. The danger of going from 4 wheel drive into 2 wheel drive while in motion is extremely dangerous. These warning lights/mil once activated has also caused the vehicles sonar to fail cause a serious safety issue. My vehicle is available to be inspected as needed. Lexus rx350 has timing cover gasket issue. My car is manufactured in 2016 and had only 59,757 miles on it but late last year the dealership discovered the leak after an oil change. The cost for repair is estimated $6500+ i am an engineer and researched the issue. I noticed that many people reported on timing cover gasket issue in rx350 cars. I even learned that the next design flaw in rx350 is the water pump. I contacted the lexus company and reported on the issue. They offered me $2000 discount. This means they are aware of the issue. I believe lexus shall fix this issue since it can turn into a safety hazard. If customers don't notice the leak, or leave engine oil leaks unchecked, the engine could seize up, or even catch on fire. Rear control arms are rusted and can break and cause an accident. I went for an alignment and they couldn’t do the full alignment beater of the corrosion
Multiple models and model years passenger airbag may not deploy nhtsa sensors not working. The campaign number is 23v865 : ocs sensors may short circuit an air bag that does not deploy during a crash increases the risk of injury. Tranmission failure around 100k miles. Spoke to few others with similar engine and transmission from lexus who had similar issues. This could be a widespread issue. Costs between 6 to 9 thousand dollars to fix.
The fonts on the instrument panel are too small to read. Do not have this problem on current 2nd car or other cars driven.
Lexus is still not providing 2 key fobs on delivery. They are not listing the 2nd key program (23lj01) as a campaign on their vehicle mobile software. The "digital key" is glitchy and not a safe and secure option - it seems to be a way for lexus to periodically generate more profit at the expense of customer safety and security.
Lexus claims the car run 27miles per gallon. But the actual miles i got only 22. 1 miles after owning it for a year. This is a big lie. Please take appropriate action!
The contact owns a 2015 lexus rx350. The contact stated that while driving over bumps on the roadway, there was an abnormal rattling sound coming from the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. In addition, the contact would lose slight control of the vehicle while turning the steering wheel to the left as the power steering became loose without warning. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was acknowledged that the power steering had failed, and the contact was provided an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.
