The vehicle was already in for service once for this issue and is going back a second time the rear camera when backing up randomly starts to flicker and go crazy, and sometimes blanking out. The first fix replaced the camera to no avail. It seems to happen randomly, but about 50% of the time. I have video of the rear backup camera going crazy.

  • Date complaint filed: Feb-16, 2024
  • Failed components: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:PEDALS AND LINKAGES

Ever since buying my 2023 lincoln aviator hybrid, i’ve been experiencing brake pedal issues, a constant pressure and a pulsating feeling when applying the brakes like the abs is kicking on. I have taken it to my dealership that i bought the vehicle from over four times for the same issue. They keep saying that it’s normal, i see that the old aviators had the same issue on the hybrid system and a tsb was released for it at one point. While driving the vehicle one day it would not stop so i had to slam on the brakes, causing them to lock up temporarily once i did that it seemed to have improved the breaking almost like something was stuck from the factory! Still to this day i still feel the pressure and the feeling like the abs is kicking on periodically. I have tried taken it into my dealer multiple times and they keep saying that it’s normal. I opened a case with lincoln but they keep taking the word of the dealer that nothing is wrong with the vehicle.

2021 Lincoln AVIATOR
  • Date of Incident: Apr-21, 2023
  • Date complaint filed: Nov-09, 2023
  • Failed components: ENGINE

The engine of my 2021 lincoln aviator with only 79,403 miles has failed, leaving myself and my family stranded on the side of a very busy interstate in another state far from home. There were absolutely no warnings given before the engine acted as if it had a significant loss of power. Shortly afterwards, very heavy and foul-smelling smoke started coming out of the tail pipe. Had the vehicle transported to a local shop to my home. The car will start and immediately start smoking and running like crap. When you put it in gear it will barely move on it's own power.
