Purchased car in early january 2024 and on february 18th the vehicle wouldn't start. Got the vehicle to start after jumping it and drove straight to the dealership to have it checked / repaired. The car has been in the dealership service bay ever since. I worked with dealership and then escalated the issue to lincoln concierge group (corporate office). I am told it is an issue with the audio control module (acm) where the electronics continue to draw down on the battery even after the car is shut off. The lincoln programmers have taken multiple attempts to fix the problem... All unsuccessfully. The new car has been in the dealership for over a month now. They have provided a loaner in the meantime but that is little consolation for the time and concerns we have with the vehicle purchased. I have asked that they consider the vehicle a lemon and allow for acquisition of another lincoln. These requests have been denied but may be considered in the future. Looking for assistance in resolving this issue.

  • Date of Incident: Feb-09, 2024
  • Date complaint filed: Feb-09, 2024
  • Failed components: SEATS and ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Memory seat moves on its own while driving. It also fails to retain memory settings. Has been to dealer multiple times and the seat motor was replaced twice. It's dangerous to drive as you must adjust seat while driving constantly. Electronics system doesn't remember settings forcing you to continually adjust while driving - very distracting. Once the seat pushed me all the way forward onto the dashboard while driving on the freeway.

After stopping vehicle at red light, drive thru, stop sign, when i try to accelerate a check engine light comes on and message power train malfunction/reduced power. The vehicle then has to be put in park, restart, and put back in drive. This happened when pulling out into road at a stop sign, and a busy red light. I feel this is a safety issue. I have taken the vehicle to lincoln and they state unable to duplicate problem. This has happened four times since i purchased the vehicle new in august 2023. The most recent time was december 6.

  • Failed components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM and STRUCTURE:BODY

Electrical connector and wiring harness melted due to close proximity to the right rear exhaust pipe. Experiencing intermittent parking brake fault messages that results in a check engine light, when climbing a grade longer then 1 mile long. Suspect extra heat produced from engine load had damaged some of the internal wires of the connector. This first occurred with 2000 miles on the odometer, 2 months old. Lincoln started producing these gt model corsairs with a heat shield missing (that was part of 2021 and some 2022 models) that probably would have protected this wiring harness. Not sure what circuits are running through this connector, but their are a lot of wires in it. The connector is melted enough that it probably cannot be unplugged anymore. There is melted plastic residue on the exhaust pipe from the connector. Dealer has confirmed the melted connecter and zip tied the connector further away from the exhaust pipe as a temporary fix till they can investigate further.

Please know we attempted to have our 2020 lincoln corsair inspected at an authorized texas inspection station and the computer system would not allow an interface so we could not get the vehicle inspected. We then had to go to a lincoln dealer and they also had trouble with the computer system and were finally able to inspect the vehicle somehow, but not sure how they were able to finally inspect the vehicle. When we took our vehicle in to the lincoln dealer in september 2023 for the temporary fix for the recall notice 23s23 blue or black image on the sync screen, again, the dealer was not able to accomplish this because of the vehicle computer system not being able to interface. We do believe we have a computer system or computer software issue with our lincoln corsair.

  • Date complaint filed: Oct-27, 2023
  • Failed components: FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, SERVICE BRAKES, and ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Missing parts during assembly resulted in wire melting onto muffler which subsequently resulted in error messages relating to the parking brake and disabling of the adaptive cruise control and bluecruise while driving. The failure to install deflectors, a part that is just inside the wheel well to keep wires from touching the muffler, is an ongoing issue which is discussed in a lincoln forum since april 2022. I have found comments relating to these missing deflectors on fords since 2019. [xxx] the missing parts are mostly, but not all, associated with having a towing package installed. If the wire had melted all the way through then a catastrophic event might have happened. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6)
