On the way home from the dealer the vehicle powered down on its own and then shut off in the middle of the road. Luckily we were able to coast into the median without incident. The vehicle started back up and we garaged it until the dealer came the next day to retrieve it. The vehicle remains at the dealer with this unresolved issue, now going on ten days. They do not appear to know what caused the problem, but vehicles shutting down in the middle of the street ( or worse yet, an expressway filled with rush hour traffic) create an obvious dangerous situation. Please also note that i have been advised that we are not the only people experiencing the same problem with this vehicle. If that is the case, i cannot fathom why we were allowed to put this vehicle on the road. Someone is going to get hurt or worse if this problem continues unabated.
Complete loss of brakes while driving. Thankfully it was very soon after leaving home. Brake pedal was extremely stiff, and the brakes would not work. Upon investigation it was found the camshaft coupler screw broke inside the camshaft and the vacuume pump had failed. This is an extremely dangerous design due to 0 warning lights on dash, and no prior warnings. Just a complete loss of brakes abruptly.
The automated parking assist function malfunctioned. I will attach the video. Lincoln claims that the auto functioned as designed.

On sunday, march 3rd, 2024, i was backing out of garage to head to grocery store and my car was in reverse but would not move when i turned it. I thought i had hit it in neutral by mistake. So i put it in forward and then reversed it again. It seem fine so i went to grocery store and when i turned to go into a parking space it would not move as almost it was in neutral. Then my awd malfunction light came on so i called my husband and we were 5 minutes from dealer ship so we took it there and dropped it off. Monday, i called dealer ship to have them look at it and they told me that my rear differential motor had to be replaced at a cost of $1800 and it was not covered under power train warranty because the part did pop up when it was entered. Car only has 44k miles on it... Waiting on someone from ford to call back to see why it is not covered.
When taking off from stop light or stop sign between the speed of 35-45 the car feels like it’s seizing!

The contact stated that the instrument panel remained blank for a while before operating normally. A message stating system off to save battery; please turn ignition off or start engine was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was repaired. The contact was informed that the failure was related to nhtsa campaign number: 19v076000 (electrical system) however, the vin was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 33,000.
When connected to apple carplay gps is very unreliable and sometimes it stops following the car in seconds sending changing directions in seconds which sometimes if am not careful makes my driving very unsafe when traveling to an address i dont know since the gps not working properly with the car sync4. 0 infotainment system.
High mount brake light failure (2nd occurrence) november 2023 at 13,400 miles. Vehicle was repaired under warranty. This occurrence appears to be a repeated faulty part. Failure of high mount brake light creates rear collision potential in low visibility scenarios. The part (13613a high mount stop lamp assembly) appears to be a known faulty part by manufacturer or vehicle design. There are no warning lamps or messages to warn driver that failure has occurred. Problem could go unnoticed for an extended time.
