The liftgate has been malfunctioning. It will go up, and out of now where completely falls. It has fell on me and my 1 year old when i was getting something in the trunk and had to quickly throw my 1 year old into the trunk so he did not get injured, but it fell on my back. My car was taken to the dealership on [xxx] to confirm there is something mechanically wrong with the liftgate. There were no warning signs of the trunk just dropping.
