Have been experiencing brake malfunction on my 2018 buick encore with the brakes getting locked while driving. There were instances where the brakes would lock randomly and the vehicle would start slowing down during driving even with a foot on the gas pedal and i had to turn on the hazards lights to pull the vehicle on the side in order to avoid being rear ended. Took the vehicle to a gm dealership and initial diagnostics mentioned that the brake pedal position sensor was malfunctioning and would need a replacement. Agreed to replace that, but after this repair dealership claimed that there was a loose pivot in the brake pedal assembly causing the brake light to be on(did not have this issue before taking the vehicle to dealership). Since the vehicle was not in a driving condition due to the brake light being "on" all the time, as per the dealership suggestion i agreed to replacing the entire brake pedal assembly as well. However, the original issue was not resolved and the dealership is now recommending that replacing the master brake cylinder and brake booster might resolve the issue. The dealership has also mentioned that all these recommended repairs are from gm and my vehicle is still at the dealership.
The contact owns a 2017 buick encore. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 65 mph, the vehicle suddenly stalled, with the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was able to be restarted. The contact was able to drive a short distance to the residence. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 176,000.
The contact owns a 2022 buick encore. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, the check engine warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the gmc mobile app alerted the contact of emissions failures and advised to contact the dealer for assistance. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the emission pump had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred 9-months later. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer, simms chevrolet co (4220 w vienna rd, clio, mi 48420) where it was diagnosed that the emission pump had failed and needed to be replaced. The dealer ordered the part. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The manufacturer referred the contact to the nhtsa hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 30,474.
Engine light is on and vehicle is sluggish on hills and keeping up in traffic. Rpms run high if i try. Error code p0299 shows on scanning device- turbo under boost. I have 112,000 miles and need turbo replaced already. This vehicle is very well maintained. I did see a special notice for the gx version of this vehicle. But dealer says my vin does not qualify
My car engine did not shut off i had to call on star to assist turn off my engine. There is problem with anti theft system and cruise control. I had to press cruise button numberous time to shut it off. On start customer advice me to take it to dealer to take look. They did on board diagnosit test they found these code
P215/55r18 94h m+s nothing has happened yet, but we need to get all new tires! When we got these [xxx] they were 80,000 mile tires. The mileage on our car when installed was 33,231 and is now 74,434, so no where near 80,000 miles. There are cracks all around all 4 tires l front the worst, on the sidewall by the tread! We have only been back to sams once for rotation etc. , because it is 20 miles away, so we do it locally at our buick dealership, or the les schwab tire store every 3500 miles. Needless to say we will not be going back to sams to get tires, ever again! I seriously have never seen tires so bad, and there isn't any recall on them. I know there are 5 complaints about these tires, at least the goodyear assurance maxlife! One comment from a sams in kingston, ny was that, "that was the 19th one with the same problem". This was on the inner sidewall, and mine is on the outside, but i cannot see the inside, it probably looks the same! We hadn't noticed until the dealership pointed it out when they serviced the car. Sams, where we got them won't do anything, saying it is weather related cracking????? Seriously, i have never had a tire that looks like these do! As you can see from the photos attached, that there should have been enough tread to get us through the summer, but they are not safe! Just glad nothing has happened! Additionally, when the contact entered the vehicle there was an abnormally strong strong gasoline odor inside the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 22,786.
I brung my car in due to a oil leak and a water pump (coolant leak) amongst other things my check engine light stays on its the turbo charger, oxygen sensor and exhaust manifold. This has been an ongoing issue since i purchased the vehicle.
I haven't drove my car in 2 years because the engine and a/c went out on a vehicle that only have 67,000 miles. I should not have to replace a whole engine and a/c when i got the car brand new off the lot. This is my second buick that has had serious problem gm is selling lemons to there customers and im looking to starting a class action lawsuit if this is not fixed.
