The power take off assembly (ptu) failed. I had it replaced a a ford dealership with a genuine ford ptu. After driving less than 125 miles the ptu failed again and my right front half shaft disengaged without notice on the high when traveling at highway speeds. Upon return to the dealership they noted that the ptu failed and it was replaced at no cost. However, they charged me for the replacement of the right front axel. I contacted ford customer service and contend that recall 14s10 should apply especially after the new ptu failed. They denied my claiming stating that the dealership claimed a torn cv boot was the cause of my axel disengaging. However there was no mention of a torn cv boot in the dealerships multipoint inspection of my vehicle when originally brought in. Ford customer service and the dealership denied my claim.
