The infotainment system on my car randomly repeatedly and frequently registers inputs when i am not making any. This has happened more times than i can count over the past several years. It will call people in my contacts, change settings on my car including safety settings, it will blast the volume, turn the volume all the way down, etc. This causes me to repeatedly take my eyes off the road to undo all of the unwarranted inputs which is a safety concern and has almost caused an accident at least once. There is an open recall for model years 2014 to 2016 for this exact issue. I am not sure why there is no 2017 recall since this is the exact same problem of "ghost touch" in previous model years.

My infotainment center experiences a ghost touch, typically in hot weather, where it just randomly starts pressing buttons on the touch screen, increases volume, hits play/pause over and over again. It is very distracting when it occurs while i’m driving

On [xxx] i purchased a mazda 6 at ocean mazda in miami, florida. The car has 18,700 miles. The reason why the car has only 18k miles it's because out of the 4 years we have owned it, it was not used as much as a result of the covid pandemic and my daughter attending online classes. I have always done timely maintenance services as required by mazda at our service dealer ocean mazda and have proof of maintenance records to confirm the minor maintenance that have been done, oil change, tire rotation, battery replacement and a recall. This past saturday [xxx] i took our mazda for an oil change; and i was informed that a five point inspection showed that the driver rear brake caliper and pad needed to be replaced because it was measuring 2% lining compared to the three other calipers which showed a 6% lining. Since the 36 month warranty has expired the cost to replace the caliper is $875. 20. I'm a mom simply concerned about the safety of my daughter and have zero knowledge about brake pads and calipers, but one thing that i do know is that i have owned multiple cars during my lifetime and have never had an issue with a caliper going bad and much less at 18k miles. I'm conscious of timely maintenance and take care of the cars i owned to lasts years. I asked my service advisor how is it possible that one caliper could go bad in a span of 2,500 miles when the prior inspection done in august 2023 showed all 4 calipers having a 6% lining as per the service report card? Furthermore, the inspection done recently shows the three remaining calipers at 6%. The answer i received from my advisor was that "calipers can go bad", sometimes due to a faulty caliper. A caliper on a car with 18k miles should not go bad unless it is a faulty caliper. Mazda should honor the repair as this is a hazard condition caused by their faulty part. Noticed slight coolant leak, took car to mechanic, he stated cylinder head was cracked, & causing coolant to spray everywhere. Towed car to dealer. Was given repair estimate of over $11,000, for a new engine. I see a safety bulletin online for my year make & model car. This overheating can apparently cause an engine fire. So far, mazda seems to be showing negligence & not properly addressing the issue for owners.

Start engine when cold and it knocks/ taps from the valve cover very loud, found a tab for valve lifters. Mazda said i’m out of warranty and it would be a 2k fix on a car i just bought second hand. A lot of other drivers have experienced the same issue and have even said it’s a safety issues as when it happens for long enough it could cause the cams to wear down causing the car to stall out in traffic or in a dangerous road situation. Very dangerous imo and should be fixed for free as mazda admitted that it’s a design flaw of the hla

Touch screen has ghosting effects, and automatically starts disabling safety and alert systems, calling random people, playing music, muting calls, navigating to random places, etc. Without any input from the user. Mazda has an existing service bulletin for this issue that includes the mazda 6 (mazda sa-001/23) but the dealer says it’s not covered by any recall and that i need to pay nearly $3,000 to get it fixed.

The shifter park switch failed, causing the vehicle to say on when turning the vehicle off. This causes the battery to drain and created a bad cell battery. This caused the vehicle to turn off while in motion driving multiple times putting the driver and surrounding vehicles at risk. This vehicle has been inspected by the mazda dealership/manufacturer.

Mazda has a huge issue with there hlas hydraulic lash adjusters. I've driven the car for 60k+ miles and it's ticked every since i got the car. And many people in the community also have the issue. And mazda says it's fine and to rev the car above 3k rpms. This issue needs to be resolved. Before my warranty went up they said they'd fix it at the dealer if it would tick while in there possession. That's just not reasonable the tick happened as random as it gets. Please please for the sake of mazda and all it's owners make mazda fix this as a recall. Many people in the us would be the happiest people in the planet not having to hear there 20k$ car tick like a broken old piece of junk. Thank you for listening. Your truly a franticly hopeless hard working america with a half broken car.

My 2011 mazda 6 rear suspension broke while my wife was driving our car on the highway. It could have killed my wife and son. The frame is rusted so bad that the lower control arm broke away from the frame, the rear wheel is barely hanging on it by one bolt on the front control arm. It is very much a safety issue and mazda needs to take charge of the problem before someone dies in their vehicle. Our car has 106215 miles on it and we still owe alot of money on this thing.
